Abstract

ABSTRACT

The principle purpose of the study was intended to measure the effectiveness of using TPR on Physical appearance inVocabulary at the seventh grade students at MTS Muslimat NU Palangka Raya . The type of study was Quantitative research. The design of study was Experimental design. The problem of the study was “Is there any significant effect of using TPR on Physical appearance in Vocabulary at the seventh grade students at MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya”?.

There was one classes becoming sample of the study, They was class VII –B , and the total number was 39 students.Was given a Pre –test to gain first student’s vocabulary score. After gaining the Pre-test core, was given treatment by TPR. After that, was gave post – test 1, Then was given treatment by TPR. After that , was gave post test 2. To gain the students’ final score. To examine the hypothesis, One way repeated measures ANOVA . In addition, SPSS 16.0 program was used to compare data.

The result of data analysis,that using TPR in Physical Appearancegave effect on vocabulary score at the seventh grade students MTs Muslimat NUPalangka Raya.The calculation used SPSS 16.0 statistic program, the result showed .The value for Wilk’sLamda is 0.25, with probability value of 0.00 (which really means p < 0.05). The value of p is less than 0.05, So it can be concluded that there is significant effect among scores of pre-test, post-test 1, post-test 2.
Then using the commonly used guidelines proposed by Cohen, 1988 (0.01 = small, 0.06 = moderate, 0.14 = large effect). This finding indicated that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) stating that using TPR on Physical Appearance gave effect to students’ vocabulary score at the seventh grade students at MTs Muslimat NUPalangkaRaya was accepted. In other words, the null hypothesis (Ho) stating that using TPR on Physical Appearance in vocabulary did not gave effect to students’ vocabulary at the seventh grade students at MtsMuslimat NUPalangka Raya was rejected.

It is recommended that the students use TPR in Physical Appearance becauseIt could help the students more motivated to remember words in their Physical Appearance in vocabulary than they have received from the teacher the students could learn it easily.It is also recommended that the teacher to apply this technique (TPR on Physical Appearance in vocabulary) in improving the students’ vocabulary as alternative technique that could be used in teaching vocabulary.

ABSTRAK

Tujuan prinsip penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengukur efektivitas menggunakan TPR pada penampilan fisik kosak atap ada siswa kelas tujuh di MTS Muslimat NU Palangka Raya. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Desain penelitianadalah desain Eksperimental.Masalah penelitian ini adalah "Apakah ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari menggunakan TPR pada penampilan fisik di Kosakata pada siswa kelastujuh di MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya" ?

Ada satu kelasmenjadisampelpenelitian, merekaadalahkelas VII-B, danjumlah total adalah 39 siswa. Diberites Pra untuk mendapatkan nilai kosa kata pertama siswa. Setelah mendapatkan nilai Pra-tes, setelah itu diberikan percobaan lagi menggunakan TPR. Setelah itu, member pasca – tes untuk mendapatkan skor akhir siswa.Untuk menguji hipotesis, Anova rapatan ulang .Selain itu, program SPSS 16.0 digunakan untuk membandingkan data.

Hasil analisis data, menggunakan TPR di penampilan fisik member efek pada skor kosa kata di siswa kelas tujuh Mts muslimat Nu Palangka Raya.Perhitungan digunakan SPSS 16.0 program statistic, hasilnya menunjukan bahwa nilai Wilklamda adalah 0,25, dengan nilai probabilitas 0,000 ( yang benar berarti p (0,05). Nilai p kurang dari 0,05sehinggadapatdisimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara skor pre – tes– postes 1 dan postes 2. Temuan ini menunjukan bahwah ipotesis alternatif (Ha) yang menyatakan bahwa menggunakan TPR di fisik penampilan memberikan efek untuk skor kosakata siswa pada siswa kelas tujuh Mts Muslimat NU Palangka Raya. Dengan kata lain, hipotesis (Ho) yang menyatakan bahwa menggunakan TPR di penampilan fisik dalam kelas kosakata tidak member pengaruh terhadap kosakata siswa pada kelas tujuh Mts Muslimat NU Palangka Raya ditolak.

Ini di rekomendasikan kepada siswa untuk menggunakan TPR dalam penampilan fisik karena bias membantu siswa lebih termotivasi untuk mengingat kata – kata dalam penampilan fisik sehingga mereka bias menerima dari guru dengan mudah. Dan ini juga di rekomendasikan kepada guru untuk menerapkan teknik ini dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kosakata sebagai tekhnik alternatif yang dapat di gunakan dalam mengajar kosakata.
