Abstract

Berdasarkan latar belakang, pada proses pembelajaran SKI di kelas VIIIB ada sebagian siswa kurang memperhatikan pelajaran saat guru menjelaskan materi, ketidakaktifan siswa dalam bertanya, berdiskusi, kurang menyumbangkan ide atau pendapat, kurang percaya diri, dan kurangnya kerja sama dengan siswa lain. Dan juga suasana kelas yang tidak kondusif karena di dalam satu kelas terdapat 40 orang siswa sehingga proses belajar mengajar kurang efektif. Inilah yang menjadikan pertimbangan peneliti sebagai tempat lokasi penelitian.

Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) Bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing pada mata pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam materi Perkembangan Kebudayaan/Peradaban Islam pada masa Dinasti Abbasiyah di Kelas VIIIB MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya? (2) Bagaimana hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam materi Perkembangan Kebudayaan/Peradaban Islam pada masa Dinasti Abbasiyah di Kelas VIIIB MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing?

Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui (1) Penerapan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing pada mata pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam materi Perkembangan Kebudayaan/Peradaban Islam pada masa Dinasti Abbasiyah di Kelas VIIIB MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya, (2) Hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam materi Perkembangan Kebudayaan/Peradaban Islam pada masa Dinasti Abbasiyah dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing di Kelas VIIIB MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang menghasilkan data deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 1 orang guru Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam. Sedangkan sebagai informannya adalah 10 orang dari 40 siswa di kelas VIIIB. Objek penelitian adalah penerapan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing pada mata pelajaran SKI pokok bahasan mengenai perkembangan kebudayaan/peradaban Islam pada masa Dinasti Abbasiyah di kelas VIIIB di MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: a) Penerapan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing pada materi perkembangan kebudayaan/peradaban Islam pada masa Dinasti Abbasiyah di kelas VIIIB MTs Muslimat NU sudah terlaksana dengan baik, meliputi tahap persiapan, langkah-langkah dan penerapan sesuai RPP dalam penerapan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing. b) Hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing ialah meningkat dan sangat membantu dalam proses pembelajaran, hasilnya dapat dilihat dari aspek kognitif siswa. Hasil analisis penelitian, bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing adalah sudah terlaksana dengan baik dan hasil belajar siswa meningkat hal ini dapat dilihat dari aspek kognitif siswa.

ABSTRACT

Based on the background of the study, the learning process Cultural History of Islam in class VIIIB, there are some students do not pay attention to the lesson when the teacher is explaining the material, inactivity students in asking, discussing, less contribute ideas or opinions, lack of confidence, and lack of cooperation with other students. In addition, a classroom atmosphere that is not conducive because in one class there are 40 students, so that the learning process less effective. This is what makes the consideration of researchers as a research location.

The problems of this study were (1) how the implementation of learning model Snowball Throwing on the on the subjects of Cultural History of Islam at VIIIB class in MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya? (2) how the results of student learning in the Islamic Cultural History class in material development of culture / civilization of Islam during the Abbasid dynasty by implementing a learning model of Snowball Throwing at VIIIB class in MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya?.

The main objectives of this study were to determine: (1) the implementation of learning models snowballs throwing on the subjects of Cultural History of Islam in the material development of culture / civilization of Islam during the Abbasid dynasty at VIIIB class of MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya. (2) The results of student learning in the Islamic Cultural History class in material development of culture / civilization of Islam during the Abbasid dynasty by implementing a learning model of snowball throwing at VIIIB class in MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya.

The research belonged to descriptive qualitative approach that produces descriptive data. The subjects were one teacher of Islamic Cultural History. Meanwhile, as the informant are students in the VIIIB class. The object of research was the application of learning models snowball throwing subjects Cultural History of Islam on the subject of the development of culture / civilization of Islam during the Abbasid dynasty at VIIIB class in MTs NU Palangka Raya. The techniques of collecting data were observation, interviews, and documentation. To analyze the data, the researcher used several stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion.

The results showed that: a) the implementation of learning models snowball throwing subjects Cultural History of Islam on the subject of the development of culture / civilization of Islam during the Abbasid dynasty at VIIIB class in MTs Muslimat NU were already performing well Palangka Raya. It was included that the preparation phase, measures, and appropriate implementation of the RPP in the application of learning models snowball throwing. b) the results of student learning using learning model snowball throwing was increased and is very helpful in the learning process, the results can be seen from the students' cognitive aspects. The results of the analysis, that the application of learning models snowball throwing was already performing well and increased student-learning outcomes. It can be seen from the students' cognitive aspects.
