Abstract

Berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan di MTs An-Nuur Palangka Raya mata pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam dalam penyampaian materi masih menggunakan model konvensional, sehingga menimbulkan permasalahan seperti siswa kurang aktif, sering mengobrol di kelas, keluar masuk kelas ketika mengikut pelajaran, bahkan menjahili temannya. Untuk menanggulangi permasalahan tersebut maka ditawarkan salah satu model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament. Rumusan Masalah penelitian ini: (a). Bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament mata pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam materi pokok Dinasti Ayyubiyah kelas VIII MTs An-Nuur Palangka Raya? (b). Bagaimana respon siswa setelah menggunakan pembelajaran model kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament ? (c). Apa saja faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament ?.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian guru Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam di MTs An-Nuur Palangka Raya, informan siswa kelas VIII, dan objek penelitian adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi.

Hasil penelitian menunjukan (a). Penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament terlaksana akan tetapi tidak melibatkan semua siswa; (b). penerapan Teams Games Tournament mendapat respon dari siswa hal tersebut terlihat dari keaktifan dan antusias siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran serta kegiatan diskusi dan pelaksanaan turnamen; (c). Faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament sebagai berikut: (1).Guru HM memahami langkah dalam model Teams Games Tournament, (2). Penguasaan guru terhadap materi yang akan diajarkan, (3).Pemilihan media yang tepat, (4). Tersedia sarana seperti ruang kelas yang nyaman dan sehingga ikut menunjang dalam keberhasilan proses pembelajaran. Faktor penghambatnya seperti: (1). Materi yang dijelaskan dalam dua kali pertemuan terlalu luas sehingga guru harus memaparkan semua materi dan waktu yang digunakan untuk kegiatan diskusi dan turnamen selalu terpotong dan digunakan untuk menjelaskan materi hasilnya waktu untuk kegiatan turnamen tidak mencukupi (2). Lima siswa tidak mau terpisah dari teman sebangku ketika pembagian kelompok (3). Satu siswa yang sedang sakit ketika mengikuti pelajaran.

ABSTRACT

Based on observation that which is connducted at MTs An-Nuur Palangkaraya on the subject of the Cultural History of Islam in the delivery of the materials they still used conventional models, which cause many problems such us in active student, often talking to each other in the class, the children in out of the classroom when the lessons in progress, even bullying their friends. To overcome the problems then offered one model of cooperative learning with type Teams Games Tournament. Problem Formulation of this research: (a). How the implementation of cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament subjects Islamic Cultural History of the subject matter of the Dynasty Ayyubiyah of the 8th grade of MTs An-Nuur Palangka Raya? (b). How is the response of students after using cooperative learning model of Teams Games Tournament? (c). Any supporting factors and obstacles in the implementation of cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament?.

This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive. Subjects in the study of Islamic Cultural History teacher at MTs An-Nuur Palangkaraya, informants the 8th grade of students, and the object of research is cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament. The research data were collected through observation, interview and documentation.

The results showed (a). The implementation of cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament implemented but did not involve all students in the activities of the tournament; (b). Teams Games Tournament application received a response from the students it is visible from the liveliness and enthusiasm of students in participating in learning activities as well as the discussions and the implementation of the tournament; (c). Supporting factors and obstacles in the implementation of cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament as follows: (1). Teacher understand the steps in the model Teams Games Tournament;(2). Teacher mastery of the material to be taught, (3). The selection of subject appropriate media, (4). There are facilities such as classrooms are comfortable and thus help support the success of the learning process. Inhibiting factors such as: (1).The material described in two meetings too broad so that teachers should present all the material and time used for discussion and tournaments always cut and used to explain the material results of time for the tournament insufficient activity (2). Five students do not want to separate from your seatmate when the division of the group;(3). One student who was hurt when the crouse.
