Abstract

Mata pelajaran IPA Terpadu Biologi di MTs An-Nur Palangka Raya Kelas VII terindikasi bahwa hasil belajar siswa khususnya materi Sel masih sangat rendah sehingga belum mencapai KKM, dikarenakan metode pembelajaran yang digunakan guru hanya ceramah dan kurangnya kerjasama siswa dalam pembelajaran sehingga membuat siswa bosan. Hasil belajar yang rendah dan kurangnya kerjasama inilah mendorong peneliti untuk melakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Think-Pair-Share. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think-Pair-Share (TPS) terhadap kemampuan bekerjasama siswa pada materi Sel di kelas VII MTs An-Nur Palangka Raya.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Quasi Eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII yang terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu 35 siswa kelas VIIA dan 35 siswa kelas VIIB. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan tes yang dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah berupa soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 30 soal pre-test dan pos-test dengan indikator yang sama untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Think-Pair-Share terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Sedangkan instrumen untuk mengetahui kemampuan bekerjasama siswa menggunakan lembar pengamatan kemampuan bekerjasama siswa.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (a) Hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen meningkat dari pretest ke postest dengan rata-rata 29,02 menjadi 72,78. Sedangkan N-gainnya memiliki rata-rata 0,62, (b) Hasil belajar siswa kelas kontrol meningkat dari pretest ke postest dengan rata-rata 30,07 menjadi 65,46. Sedangkan N-gainnya memiliki rata-rata 0,48, dan (c) Uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan Analisis Korelasi Pearson (Product Moment) melalui program SPSS versi 17.0 for windows diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,601 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengaruh model Think-Pair-Share (TPS) dengan kerjasama siswa termasuk dalam korelasi tinggi, dan nilai uji korelasi yang diperoleh adalah sig 0,000 nilai ini lebih kecil dari 005 (0,000 ≤ 005) maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa Model Pembelajaran Think-Pair-Share (TPS) berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan bekerjasama siswa pada materi Sel di kelas VII MTs An-Nur Palangka Raya tahun ajaran 2013/014.

It is indicated that learning outcomes of the students of class VII of MTs An-Nur Palangka Raya, especially in the topic of cell in Biology Integrated Natural Sciences is low so that KKM cannot be achieved. This caused by the lecturing method used by the teachers make the student feel bored and the student do not cooperate well. The lower scores of the students and lack of cooperation motivate the writer to make a study using Think-Pair Share (TPS). The objective of the study is to know the influence of the implementation of cooperative learning model of Think-Pair-Share (TPS) toward the ability of the students of class VII of MTs An-Nur Palangka Raya to cooperate in the topic of .
The study uses quantitative approach with Quasi Experiment type. The populations of the study are all of the students of class VII which consist of 35 students of class VIIA and 35 students class VIIB. The technique of data collection includes observation and test. The instrument to be used is in the form of multiple choice items which consist of 30 items for pretest and postest with the same indicators so that it can measure the influence of the implementation of cooperative learning model of Think-Pair-Share (TPS) toward the ability of the students to cooperate. The instrument to be used to know the ability to cooperate is the questionnaire of the ability to cooperate.
The results of the study indicate that: (a) the learning outcomes of the students in experimental class improve from pretest to posttest. This is proven by the average score 29.02 becomes 72.78. The N-gain has the average score 0.62. (b) the learning outcomes of the students in control class improve from pretest to posttest. This is proven by the average score 30.07 becomes 72.78. The N-gain has the average score 0.48 and (c) the test of hypothesis using analysis of Pearson (Product Moment) through SPSS Program of 17.0 Version for windows, it was obtained that the coefficient correlation is 0.601, it can be concluded the influence of the influence of the implementation of cooperative learning model of Think-Pair-Share (TPS) toward the ability of the students to cooperate in the topic of cell is classified as high correlation, and the value of test of correlation is sig 0.000. This value is samaller than 005 (0.000 < 005). Therefore, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected so that it can be concluded that cooperative learning model of Think-Pair-Share (TPS) influence toward the ability of the students of class VII of MTs An-Nur Palangka Raya to cooperate in the topic of cell in 2013/2014 acadamic year.
