Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) terdapat atau tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan keterampilan proses sains siswa sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing integrasi peer instruction; (2) terdapat atau tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing integrasi peer instruction; (3) terdapat atau tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing integrasi peer instruction; (4) aktivitas guru dan siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing integrasi peer instruction;

Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan jenis penelitiannya menggunakan desain Pra-Eksperimental tipe One Group Pretest-Posttest design. Populasi berjumlah 29 orang. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan program SPSS for windows Versi 22.0.

Hasil penelitian: (1) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan keterampilan proses sains siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan dengan taraf signifikansi 0,000<0,05; (2) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar kognitif siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan dengan taraf signifikansi 0,000<0,05; (3) terdapat hubungan signifikan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dimana koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,797 kategori kuat; dan (4) aktivitas guru menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing integrasi peer instruction termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik sebesar 87,77% dan aktivitas siswa termasuk dalam kategori baik sebesar 83,04%.

ABSTRAK

The purpose of the research is to know: (1) whether or not there is any significant difference between the science process skills of the students before and after the implementation of the peer instruction integrated guided inquiry learning model; (2) whether or not there is any significant difference between before and after the implementation of the peer instruction integrated guided inquiry learning model; (3) whether or not there is any significant relation between the science process skills and the study result of the students after the implementation of the peer instruction integrated guided inquiry learning model; (4) the activity of the teacher and the students in using the peer instruction integrated guided inquiry learning model.

This research used quantitative approach and the type was Quasi-Experimental Research with Pre-Experimental Design type One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The population consists of 29 students. The data study result of analyzed using SPSS for Windows Version 22.0.

The result of the research are: (1) there is a significant difference between the science process skills of the students before and after treated with the significance level 0,000 < 0,05; (2) there is a significant difference between before and after treated with the significance level 0,000 < 0,05; (3) there is a significant positive relation between the science process skills and the cognitive study result of the students which the coefficient correlation is 0,797 with strong category; and (4) based on the teacher’s activity analysis using the peer instruction integrated guided inquiry learning model, it is counted as very good category with 87,77% and the students’ activity is counted as good category with 83,04%.
