Abstract

This study aimed to identify the users’ perception on English Education graduates as a material to evaluate the relevance of the curriculum applied to the world of work. In this study, the writer used descriptive quantitative method to collect the data. The population of the study was the graduate users in Palangka Raya, with total 107 users. The writer took 56 respondents as the sample.

This study belonged to survey research. The technique of collecting the data was questionnaire. In analyzing the data, the writer used (1) Data compiling (2) Data Displaying.

The percentages of users’ perception were as follows: (a) Integrity: very good 44.6%, good 53.6%, enough 1.8% (b) Professionalism: very good 32.1%, good 66.1%, enough 1.8% (c) English: very good 25%, good 73.2%, enough 1.8% (d) Use of Information Technology: very good 25%, good 58.9%, enough 14.3%, less 1.8% (e) Communication: very good 37.5%, good 57.1%, enough 5.4% (f) Teamwork: very good 44.7%, good 48.2%, enough 7.1% (g) Personal Development: very good 28.6%, good 62.5%, enough 8.9%.. Results of the study showed the average of English Education graduates were well qualified.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi persepsi pengguna jasa terhadap kinerja alumni Tadris Bahasa Inggris sebagai bahan evaluasi relevansi kurikulum yang diterapkan terhadap dunia kerja. Pada penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif untuk mengumpulkan data. Populasinya adalah pengguna jasa alumni Tadris Bahasa Inggris yang ada di Palangka Raya dengan jumlah total 107 responden. Penulis mengambil sampel 56 orang.

Penelitian ini adalah survey. Teknik mengumpulkan data menggunakan kuesioner. Untuk menganalisa data, penulis menggunakan (1) Kompilasi data (2) Penampilan data.

Persentase persepsi pengguna jasa adalah sebagai berikut: (a) Integritas: sangat baik 44,6%, baik 53,6%, cukup 1,8% (b) Profesionalisme: sangat baik 32,1%, baik 66,1%, cukup 1,8% (c) Bahasa Inggris: sangat baik 25%, baik 73,2%, cukup 1,8% (d) Penggunaan Teknologi Informasi: sangat baik 25%, baik 58,9%, cukup 14,3%, kurang 1,8% (e) Komunikasi: sangat baik 37,5%, baik 57,1%, cukup 5,4% (f) Kerjasama Tim: sangat baik 44,7%, baik 48,2%, cukup 7,1% (g) Pengembangan Diri: sangat baik 28,6%, baik 62,5%, cukup 8,9%. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata penilain pengguna jasa adalah baik.
