Abstract

Tujuan penilaian standar sebelumnya di ketahui bahwa keterampilan proses sains siswa kurang dapat menumbuhkan keterampilan proses sains, terutama pada mata pelajaran biologi umumnya belum mencapai nilai KKM klasikal misalnya pada materi gerak pada tumbuhan. Hal itu disebabkan oleh rendahnya tingkat pemahaman dan keterampilan proses sains siswa terhadap materi pelajaran. Selain itu, pembelajaran yang masih terpusat pada guru dan hanya difokuskan pada aspek kognitifnya saja. Sehingga kurangnya keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran dan aktivitas yang dilakukan cenderung tidak relevan dengan materi pembelajaran. Aktivitas siswa hanya sebatas mencatat dan mendengar. Oleh karena itu dilakukan upaya untuk melihat identifikasi keterampilan proses sains pada materi gerak pada tumbuhan di kelas VIII C semester I Mts Muslimat NU Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: keterampilan proses sains yang muncul pada materi gerak pada tumbuhan.

Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan tehnik purposive sampling (sampel bertujuan). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar penilaian keterampilan proses sains. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII C semester I MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016, objek penelitian adalah materi gerak pada tumbuhan di kelas VIII C berjumlah 39 siswa.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya identifikasi keterampilan proses sains yang muncul pada materi gerak tumbuhan dari 8 kelompok seperti mengamati/observasi, mengelompokkan/klasifikasikan, menafsirkan, berhipotesis, melakukan percobaan, menerapkan konsep dan berkomunikasi dari keseluruhan kelompok yang diperoleh skor rata-ratanya bervariasi pada kegiatan pertama dan kedua. Keterampilan proses sains dalam penelitian ini meliputi mengamati/observasi, melakukan percobaan, menerapkan konsep dan berkomunikasi dikategorikan tinggi. Sedangkan keterampilan proses sains yang tidak muncul pada pertemuan pertama menafsirkan dan merencanakan percobaan. Kemudian pada pertemuan kedua mengelompokkan/klasifikasikan dan merencanakan percobaan dari semua kelompok, artinya pembelajaran menggunakan keterampilan proses sains pada materi gerak tumbuhan di terima siswa dalam proses pembelajaran.

ABSTRACT

Objective assessment note that previous standard science process skills students are less able to foster science process skills, especially in the subjects of biology in general has not reached the KKM clasical example on the motion of matter in plants. It is caused by a low level of understanding and science process skills of students of the subject matter. In addition, learning centered on the teacher and just focused on cognitive aspects alone. So the lack of student engagement in learning and activities that do tend to be not relevant to learning materials. Student activity was limited to record and hear. Therefore, efforts to see the identification of science process skill in the motion of matter in plants in class VIII C MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya. This study aims to determine: the science process skill that appear on the motion of matter in planst.

This study included descriptive qualitative study with purposive sampling technique (sample intended). The instrument used is the science process skills assessment sheet. The subjects were all students of class VIII C MTs Muslimat NU first semester of school year 2015/2016 Palangka Raya, the object of research is the motion of matter in plants in class VIII C totaling 39 students.

The results showed that the identification of science process skills that appear on the material movement of palnts from 8 groups such as observing/observation, clasify, interpret, hypothesize, experiment, applying concepts and communication of the whole group obtained a score averages varied activities the frist and second. Science process skill in this study include examining/observation, experiment, applying the concepts and communicate categorized as high. While the science process skills thats do not appear at the first meeting of interpreting and planned experiments. The in the second meeting categorize/classify and plan experiments from all groups, meaning that learning using science process skills in motion plant material is received in the learning process.
