Abstract

The principle purpose of this study is to investigate the types and sources errors made by the eight grade students of MTs Hidayatul Insan Palangka Raya in made simple present sentence.
The method of this study was descriptive qualitative method which focused to describe the errors, classified them to their classification and to the sources of error. The subject of this study were 13 students from the eight grade students of MTs Hidayatul Insan Palangka Raya. In collecting the data, the writer used documentation technique. While analyzing the data , it used some techniques such as data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification.
The types of error made by the eighth grade students of MTs Hidayatul Insan Palangka Raya in constructing simple present sentences clasified into four categories. The highest types of error was on omission, the percentage was 76.92%, the second was addition, the percentage was 53.85%, the third was misformaing, the percentage was 30.75%, and the last one or the lowest was on misordering, the percentage was 15.35%.

Tujuan dasar penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tipe-tipe kesalahan yang di buat oleh siswa kelas delapan MTs Hidayatul Insan Palangka Raya dalam membuat kalimat simple present.
Adapun metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif yang memfokuskan untuk menggambarkan kesalahan, mengklasifikasikannya ke dalam tipe-tipe kesalahan. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 13 orang siswa kelas delapan MTs Hidayatul Insan Palngka Raya. Dalam pengumpulan data, penulis menggunakan teknik dokumentasi. Sedangkan dalam menganalisa data, penulis menggunakan beberapa teknik seperti pengumpulan data, penyeleksian data, pemaparan data, penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi.
Tipe tipe kesalahan yang dibuat oleh siswa kelas delapan MTs Hidayatul Insan Palangka Raya dalam menyusun kalimat simple present sentence dikelompokkan kedalam empat kriteria. Kriteria kesalahan yang tertinggi yaitu kalimat yang tidak lengkap dengan persentase 76.92%, yang kedua yaitu adanya penambahan kata yang tidak seharusnya dengan persentase 53.85%, yang ketiga yaitu format kalimat yang salah dengan persentase 30.75%, dan yang terahir atau yang paling rendah yaitu kesalahan pada susunn kalimat dengan persentase 15.35%.
