Abstract

Pendidikan karakter merupakan pendidikan akhlak mulia bagi anak dengan melibatkan aspek pengetahuan (cognitive), perasaan (feeling) dan tindakan (action). Tiga aspek itu akan menguatkan karakter anak. Anak diarahkan pada pengembangan kecerdasan, yaitu kecerdasan intelektual, kecerdasan emosional, dan kecerdasan spiritual
Tujuan penelitian ini mediskripsikan tentang 1) Strategi guru PAI dalam menanamkan karakter siswa di SMPN 1 Palangka Raya dan 2) Pelaksanaan guru PAI dalam menanamkan karakter siswa di SMPN 1 Palangka Raya.
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan mengambil lokasi di SMPN 1 Palangka Raya. Adapun Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi kemudian data dianalisis yakni melalui langkah-langkah reduksi, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 3 guru PAI SMPN 1 Palangka Rayadan 3 siswa-siswi SMPN 1 Palangka Raya..
Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1). Strategi guru PAI dalam menanamkan karakter siswa-siswi di SMPN 1 Palangka Raya, yaitu melalui pembiasaan dan keteladan, adapun strategi karakter yang ditanamkan kepada siswa adalah karakter diantara adalah religius, disiplin, peduli lingkungan, tanggungjawab, toleransi dan mandiri yaitu dengan cara membiasakan kepada siswa dan memotivasi serta mencontohkan dari guru itu sendiri. 2). Pelaksanan strategi guru PAI dalam rangka menanamkan karakter siswa di SMPN 1 Palangka Raya yaitu salah satunya membiasakan mengucap salam, shalat zuhur berjamaah, dan dalam pelaksanaan dialami mengalami hambatan baik dari siswa-siswa itu sendiri maupun lingkungan sekolah.

ABSTRACT

Character education is a noble moral education for children by involving aspects of knowledge (cognitive), feeling (feeling) and action (action). These three aspects will strengthen the child's character. Children are directed at the development of intelligence, namely intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence, and spiritual intelligence.
The purpose of this study is to describe about 1) PAI teacher strategy in instilling student character in SMPN 1 Palangka Raya and 2) Implementation of PAI teacher in embedding student character in SMPN 1 Palangka Raya.
This research is a qualitative research by taking location at SMPN 1 Palangka Raya. The data collection technique uses observation, interviews, and documentation and then the data are analyzed through the steps of reduction, presentation of data, and drawing conclusions. The subjects of this study were 3 PAI SMPN 1 Palangka Ray students and 3 students of SMPN 1 Palangka Raya.

The results of this study are 1). PAI teacher strategy in instilling the character of students in SMPN 1 Palangka Raya, has been done, while the character strategy embedded in students is among the characters are religious, disciplined, caring for the environment, responsibility, tolerance and self-reliance that is by getting used to students and motivating and exemplifies from the teacher itself. 2). The implementation of the PAI teacher strategy in order to instill the character of students in SMPN 1 Palangka Raya, one of which is to make greetings, pray in the midday prayer, and in the experience experienced obstacles both from the students themselves and the school environment.
