Abstract
Permasalahan ini diangkat berdasarkan tuntutan Undang-Undang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional pasal 3 bahwa nilai pendidikan karakter di sekolah harus mampu tertanam pada diri siswa sebab itu peran serta guru harus mampu menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter tersebut. Salah satu guru yang memiliki peran dalam pendidikan karakter adalah guru akidah akhlak, sebab hal ini berkaitan dengan aspek moral siswa. Berdasarkan permasalahan ini peneliti tertarik mengangkat judul tentang pembelajaran akidah akhlak dalam pendidikan karakter siswa kelas VII di MTsN Katingan Tengah Kabupaten Katingan.
Permasalahan yang diangkat yaitu: 1) Bagaimana proses pendidikan karakter oleh guru akidah akhlak pada siswa kelas VII di MTsN Katingan Tengah Kabupaten Katingan? 2) Bagaimana peran guru akidah akhlak dalam pendidikan karakter siswa kelas VII di MTsN Katingan Tengah Kabupaten Katingan?
Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriftif, penelitian dilakukan di MTsN Katingan Tengah, subjek penelitian 1 orang guru akidah akhlak, 9 orang siswa kelas VII dan sebagai informan Kepala Madrasah. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan data reduction (reduksi Data), data display (penyajian data), conclusiond rawing (penarikan kesimpulan).
Adapun hasil penelitian ini yaitu: 1) Proses pendidikan karakter oleh guru Akidah Akhlak kelas VII MTsN Katingan Tengah Kabupaten Katingan dilaksanakan melalui 3 tahap, tahapan perencanaan yaitu merancang nilai karakter yang ditanamkan yaitu nilai religius, disiplin, tanggung jawab dan santun; tahap pelaksanaan nilai karakter religius dilakukan dengan membiasakan siswa berdoa sebelum dan sesudah pelajaran, nilai karakter disiplin dengan memberikan peringatan untuk tepat waktu, nilai karakter tanggung jawab dilaksanakan dengan menulis materi dan tugas harian dan nilai santun dilaksanakan dengan memberi contoh yang baik dan menegur siswa apabila melakukan kesalahan dan tahap evaluasi belum terlaksana karena guru tidak menerapkan evaluasi terutama pada pendidikan karakter; 2) Peran guru akidah akhlak dalam proses pendidikan karakter pada siswa kelas VII MTsN Katingan Tengah dalam menanamkan 4 nilai karakter yaitu nilai religius, nilai disiplin, nilai tanggung jawab dan nilai santun menunjukkan bahwa guru cenderung berperan sebagai konservator yaitu memelihara nilai karakter siswa melalui nasehat dan teladan guru, sedangkan peran guru sebagai inovator (pengembang), transmit (penerus), transformator (penerjemah) dan organisator (penyelenggaraan) untuk mengembangkan 4 nilai karakter ini belum terlaksana dengan maksimal dan perlu pengembangan agar proses pendidikan nilai karakter pada pembelajaran akidah akhlak siswa kelas VII ini mencapai tujuan dengan maksimal dan terarah.
ABSTRACT
According to the Laws of Education verse 3, which the educational value should be cultivated at school, thus the role of teacher in cultivating the value of characters is needed. The teacher who have moral and faith in his/her study field is responsible in cultivating the values of character education because it will be related to the students’ need aspect in moral. Thus, the researcher was interested in taking the title “Morality Learning In Students Character Education Of Seventh Grade at MTsN Katingan Tengah Regency of Katingan”.
The research problems were formulated as in 1) How is the process of education of character being implemented education toward the seventh grade students at Katingan Tengah Regency of Katingan.? 2) What are the roles of teacher in cultivating the character education toward the seventh grade students at Katingan Tengah Regency of Katingan?
The method of the study used was descriptive qualitative. The study was conducted at MTsN Katingan Tengah and the subject of the study was a teacher (teaching moral and faith), nine students of seventh grade and additional informants such as headmaster. Observation checklist, interview, and documentation were used as data collecting techniques data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing.
The result finding revealed that: 1) There were three processes in implementing the character education, namely: planning-that was, planned the kind of the character values such as religious, discipline, responsibility and politeness; implementation namely religious aspect that had been given in a way of pray before and after starting the lesson, discipline aspect had been taught through giving warning to be on time, responsibility aspect had been taught by instructing in doing the assignments and the politeness aspect had been taught by giving good example and advising the students in making mistakes; and the last step was evaluation which had not been implemented by teacher; 2) The roles of the teacher in the process of character education at MTsN katigan tengah in seventh grade in instling four valves of character that was religious valves, discipline valve, respond sibility valves, an politeness valves. Shows that teacher role was mustly as counservator, wich maintaining students character valves through advrce teachers cample, cuhile teachers vule as innovator, transmit, transformator, and organizer to develuping the four valves of character was not yet done ti maximum and need development so that education wces of character valves in morality learning students of seventh grade succestuly achieved and focused.
