Abstract
Proses pembelajaran di kelas menunjukkan guru belum mampu menciptakan kondisi dan situasi yang memungkinkan siswa untuk melakukan proses berpikir tingkat tinggi. Hal ini terlihat dari kegiatan guru dan siswa pada saat kegiatan belajar mengajar. Guru menjelaskan apa-apa yang telah disiapkan dan memberikan soal latihan yang bersifat rutin dan prosedural. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan penerapan model pembelajaran inquiry training pada pokok bahasan gerak lurus. (2) peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa setelah menggunakan penerapan model pembelajaran inquiry training pada pokok bahasan gerak lurus. (3) pengelolaan pembelajaran fisika pada pokok bahasan gerak lurus setelah diterapkan model inquiry training. (4) hubungan antara keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran inquiry training.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode pre-experiment, dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one-group pretest-posttest design. Sampel penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IA-4 MAN Model Palangka Raya yang berjumlah 38 siswa. Sampel diajarkan materi pokok Gerak Lurus dengan menerapkan model Inquiry Training. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) lembar tes hasil belajar (2) lembar tes keterampilan berpikir kritis, dan (3) lembar pengamatan pengelolaan pembelajaran.
Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Nilai N-Gain hasil belajar siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran inquiry training sebesar 0,64 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan uji hipotesis hasil belajar siswa menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan model inquiry training pada materi gerak lurus. 2) Nilai N-Gain keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran inquiry training sebesar 0,55 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang dan uji hipotesis keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan sesudah diterapkan model inquiry training pada materi gerak lurus. 3) Hasil pengelolaan pembelajaran fisika secara keseluruhan dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran inquiry training memperoleh persentase nilai rata-rata sebesar 85,13 % dengan kategori baik. 4) Analisis uji hipotesis hubungan antara keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang positif dan signifikan setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran inquiry training pada materi gerak lurus.
ABSRACT
The learning process in the classroom showed the teacher has not been able to create conditions and situations that allow students to perform higher-level thinking processes. It can be seen from the activities of teachers and students for teaching and learning. Teachers describe anything that has been prepared and provide a matter of regular practice and procedural. The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) improving student learning outcomes after implementing and using inquiry learning model on the subject of straight motion. (2) Improvingthe students' critical thinking abilities after implementing and using inquiry-learning model on the subject of straight motion.(3) Management of physics on the subject of motion straight after implemented inquiry-learning model.(4) The relationship between critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes after using inquiry learning model training.
The research belonged to descriptive quantitative approach with pre-experiment method; with the design of the study was a one-group pretest-posttest design. The samples were all students of class X IA-4 MAN Model Palangkaraya totaling 38 students. Samples taught subject matter Straight Motion by applying the model of Inquiry Training. The instrument used in this study were (1) sheet achievement test, (2) Sheet of the test of critical thinking skills, (3) Management of learning in observation sheet.
The research results obtained were as follows: 1) the value of N-Gain student learning outcomes after application of inquiry learning model training of 0.64 and included in the medium category and hypothesis testing student-learning outcomes there were significant differences before and after the model applied in the training inquiry material straight motion. 2) The value of N-Gain critical thinking skills of students after implementinginquiry-learning model applied by 0.55 and included in the medium category and hypothesis-testing students' critical thinking skills were a significant improvement before and after the inquiry model of training applied to the material straight motion. 3) The results of the overall management of learning physics by applying inquiry learning model training earn a percentage of the average value of 85.13% with good categories. 4) The analysis of test the hypothesized relationship between critical thinking skills and learning results indicate a positive and significant relationship after implementing inquiry learning model training on a straight motion of matter.
