Abstract
Permasalahan utama dalam proses mengajar yaitu sebagian siswa kelas VIII memiliki motivasi belajar biologi yang masih rendah. Siswa memandang pelajaran biologi sebagai pelajaran yang membosankan karena penuh dengan hafalan, hal tersebut menjadikan siswa kelas VIII menjadi pasif, bosan, dan mengantuk pada saat pelajaran sedang berlangsung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui pengelolaan pembelajaran model TGT (Team Games Tournament) menggunakan Question Card pada materi zat aditif dan zat adiktif kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Palangka Raya, (2) mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik Kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Palangka Raya setelah penerapan Model TGT (Team Games Tournament) dengan menggunakan Question Card. (3) mengetahui ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi Zat aditif dan adiktif kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Palangka Raya. (4) mengetahui Respon peserta didik terhadap model pembelajaran yang dilakukan di kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah Palangka Raya.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Data keterterapan diukur menggunakan lembar observasi dan dianalisis menggunakan skala Guttman. Data hasil belajar kognitif diperoleh menggunakan metode tes dan dianalisis dengan rumus N-gain.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penerapan model pembelajaran TGT berbantuan kartu soal mencapai rata-rata 72% dengan kategori cukup, (2) hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik diperoleh nilai rata-rata presentase pemahaman peseta didik pada pretest sebesar 31,35% dan pada posttest sebesar 78,06% (3) hasil nilai ketuntasan peserta didik pada materi zat aditif dan adiktif mencapai ketuntasan sebesar 77% dan ketidak tuntasan hanya sebesar 23%, (4) Hasil analisis respon peserta didik terhadap model pembelajaran tipe TGT mempperoleh presentase rata-rata sebesar 94.47% sehingga respon peserta didik tergolong sangat baik. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaranTGT dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.
Abstract
The main problem in the teaching process is that most VIII grade students have low motivation to study biology. Students see biology as a boring subject because it is full of memorization, it makes students of class VIII become passive, bored, and sleepy when the lesson is in progress. This study aims to (1) find out the management of the TGT (Team Games Tournament) learning model using Question Cards on additive and addictive substances in class VIII of Muhammadiyah Middle School Palangka Raya, (2) knowing the increase in cognitive learning outcomes of Class VIII students of Muhammadiyah Palangka Raya Middle School after applying the TGT (Team Games Tournament) Model using the Question Card. (3) knowing the completeness of student learning outcomes in the additive and addictive substances of class VIII of SMP Muhammadiyah Palangka Raya. (4) knowing students' responses to learning models conducted in class VIII of SMP Muhammadiyah Palangka Raya.
This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The applicability data was measured using an observation sheet and analyzed using the Guttman scale. Data on cognitive learning outcomes were obtained using a test method and analyzed with the N-gain formula.
The results showed that: (1) the application of the TGT learning model aided by question cards reached an average of 72% with sufficient categories, (2) the cognitive learning outcomes of students obtained an average percentage of students' understanding of understanding in the pretest at 31.35% and in the posttest of 78.06% (3) the results of the completeness of students on additive and addictive material reached mastery of 77% and incompleteness of only 23%, (4) The results of the analysis of students' responses to the TGT type learning model obtained an average percentage average of 94.47% so that the response of students is classified as very good. The results of this study can be concluded that the TGT learning model can improve student learning outcomes.
