Abstract

Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) merupakan sekolah yang diperuntukkan bagi anak-anak berkebutuhan. Kurangnya pemahaman terhadap anak berkebutuhan khusus dikarenakan guru yang mengajar Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti merupakan guru yang kualifikasi Pendidikannya untuk sekolah umum. Oleh karena itu, hal yang menarik untuk diteliti adalah mampukah guru Pendidikan Agama Islam non PLB yang notabenenya tidak mempunyai besik atau latar belakang Pendidikan Luar Biasa dalam mengajar di lembaga pendidikan luar biasa. Hal ini tentu menarik untuk digali dan diteliti, karena banyak guru-guru lulusan PAI mengajar di lembaga pendidikan SLB.

Masalah penelitian ini adalah 1) Bagaimana kemampuan guru PAI non PLB dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran, 2) Bagaimana kemampuan guru PAI non PLB dalam memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi untuk kepentingan pembelajaran, 3) Bagaimana kemampuan guru PAI non PLB dalam memfasilitasi pengembangan potensi peserta didik untuk mengaktualisasi berbagai potensi yang dimiliki, 4) Bagaimana kemampuan guru PAI non PLB dalam berkomunikasi secara efektif, empatik dan santun dengan peserta didik dan 5) Bagaimana kemampuan guru PAI non PLB dalam evaluasi proses hasil belajar di SLB Negeri 2 Palangka Raya.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian Deskriptif Kualitatif, dengan tempat penelitian di SLB Negeri 2 Palangka Raya. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) non Pendidikan Luar Biasa (PLB) dan dua orang informan yaitu kepala sekolah (Jm) dan guru senior (Sl). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokomentasi.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa guru Pendidikan Agama Islam non Pendidikan Luar Biasa (PLB) sudah memiliki kemampuan dalam mengajar peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil analisis 5 aspek yang dilakukan saat mengukur kemampuan guru dalam mengajar memilki kriteria baik, yaitu 1) Kemampuan Guru PAI dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan baik, 2) Memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi untuk kepentingan pembelajaran dapat dilasanakan dengan baik dan maksimal, 3) Memfasilitasi pengembangan potensi peserta didik untuk mengaktualisasi berbagai potensi yang dimiliki terlaksana dengan baik, 4) Berkomunikasi secara efektif, empatik dan santun dengan peserta didik dilakukan dengan maksimal, serta 5) evaluasi proses hasil belajar terlaksana dengan baik dan maksimal.

ABSTRACT

Special school or also known as Extraordinary School is a place for the children with special needed. Lack of understanding toward the children with special needed, because the teacher who teach Islamic Education and Character is a teacher who qualify to teach Islamic Education in common school. That quality difference will affect the teacher’ professional. In teaching the children with special needed require a teacher who understand their characteristics and how to teach them. Because of that, the interesting thing to be researched is the capable of Islamic Education teacher non Special Education (PLB) which hasn’t the basic or Special Education background in teaching at Extraordinary school. These things interested to be extracted and to be researched, because many teachers which graduate from Islamic Education that teach at extraordinary school.

The research problem in this research are : 1) How is the ability of Islamic Education teacher non Special Education (PLB) in implement the education, 2) How is the ability of Islamic Education teacher non Special Education (PLB) in utilize the information and communication technology, 3) How is the ability of Islamic Education teacher non Special Education (PLB) in facilitate the students’ potential to actualize the potential they have, 4) How is the ability of Islamic Education teacher non Special Education (PLB) in communicate effectively, emphatic, and polite with the students and 5) How is the ability of Islamic Education teacher non Special Education (PLB) in evaluate the learning outcome at SLBN 2 Palangka Raya.

This research used qualitative descriptive research, the place of research was SLBN 2 Palangka Raya. The subject of this research were Principal (Jm) and Senior teacher (SI). The data collection technique used observation, interview and documentation.

The result of this research shown that the teaching ability of Islamic Education (PAI) teacher non Special Education (PLB) at SLB Negeri 2 Palangka Raya can be said was competent. These things can be seen from 5 aspects that did to measure the teacher’s ability when teaching was good criteria, they were 1) The Islamic Education teacher’s ability in implemented the education can be categorized as good criteria 2) Utilized the information and communication technology as learning media can be categorized as good criteria,3) Facilitated the students’ potential to actualized any potential which they have can be categorized as good criteria 4) Communication effectively, emphatic and polite to the students can be categorized as good criteria 5) Implemented the assessment and evaluation of learning outcome can be categorized as good criteria.
