Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Peningkatan berpikir kritis siswa setelah menerima penerapan model discovery learning LKS pada materi kalor dan perpindahannya (2) Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah menerima penerapan model discovery learning LKS pada materi kalor dan perpindahannya.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-experimental dengan rancangan desain one-group pretest-posttest design. Teknik Pengambilan sampel yaitu Purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Instrumen tes yang digunakan tes berpikir kritis dan tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk essay. Objek penelitian kali ini adalah siswa kelas VIIA semester I MTs Hidayatul Insan Palangkaraya Tahun ajaran 2020/2021 dengan jumlah 20 orang siswa.
Hasil penelitian diperoleh: (1) terdapat peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa setelah diterapkan model Discovery Learning diperoleh N-gain sebesar 0,64 dengan kategori sedang (2) terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah diterapkan model Discovery Learning diperoleh N-gain sebesar 0,60 dengan kategori sedang.
Abstract
This study aims to determine: (1) Increasing students' critical thinking after receiving the application of discovery learning model worksheets on heat material and its displacement (2) Improving student learning outcomes after receiving the application of discovery learning model LKS on heat material and its displacement.
This study used a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The research instrument used was a test of student learning outcomes and critical thinking skills. The test instrument used is a critical thinking test and a learning outcome test in the form of an essay. The object of the research this time was students of class VIIA semester I MTs Hidayatul Insan Palangkaraya in the academic year 2020/2021 with a total of 20 students.
The results obtained: there is an increase in students' critical thinking skills after the application of the Discovery Learning model obtained an N-gain of 0.64 in the medium category (2) there is an increase in student learning outcomes after the application of the Discovery Learning model obtained an N-gain of 0.60 with the moderate category.
