Abstract

Gambaran permasalahan pembelajaran yang ada di SMP Negeri 8 Palangka Raya di kelas VIII-9 bahwa menurut guru hasil belajar siswa pada materi IPA pada tahun ajaran 2017/2018 semester ganjil sebagian siswa masih tergolong rendah. Hal ini di sebabkan pembelajaran masih berpusat pada guru (teacher centered). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui (1) aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam model pembelajaran kooperatif terhadap penguasaan konsep IPA pada materi cahaya ditinjau dari Multiple Intelligence siswa, (2) pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif terhadap penguasaan konsep kognitif siswa pada materi cahaya ditinjau dari Multiple Intelligence siswa, (3) penguasaan konsep IPA siswa setelah mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif pada materi cahaya ditinjau dari Multiple Intelligence siswa, (4) korelasi penguasaan konsep kognitif IPA dengan Multiple Intelligence siswa di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Palangka Raya setelah mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif ditinjau dari Multiple Intelligence siswa pada materi Cahaya.

penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan metode penelitian pre-eksperimen, dengan desain penelitian One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas VIII-9 SMP Negeri 8 Palangka Raya.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) aktivitas guru dalam Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif terhadap penguasaan konsep IPA pada materi cahaya ditinjau dari Multiple Intelligence siswa sangat baik, sedangkan aktivitas siswa sangat aktif, kemudian untuk pengelolaan model pembelajaran kooperatif terhadap penguasaan konsep belajar IPA pada materi cahaya ditinjau dari Multiple Intelligence siswa mendapatkan hasil yang baik. (2) terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran kooperatif terhadap penguasaan konsep belajar siswa. (3) peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif menunjukkan Gain yang cukup tinggi sedangkan N-Gain diperoleh nilai rata-rata sedang. (4) terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan (sedang) antara skor Linguistic Intelligence terhadap hasil posttest siswa, hubungan yang positif dan signifikan (kuat) antara skor Logical Mathematic Intelligence terhadap hasil posttest siswa, dan juga terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan (kuat) antara skor Visual-Spatial Intelligence terhadap hasil posttest siswa.

ABSTRACT

Description of learning problems in Palangka Raya 8 Middle School in class VIII-9 that According to the teacher the student learning outcomes in science material in the odd semester of the academic year 2017/2018 are still relatively low. This is caused because learning is still centered on the teacher (teacher centered). The purpose of this research is to know (1) the activity of teachers and students in cooperative learning model toward mastery of the learning science concept on light material considered from multiple intelligence of students, (2) The effect of cooperative learning model toward mastery of the learning science concept on light material considered from multiple intelligence of students, (3) The mastery of the learning science concept after follow cooperative learning model toward mastery of the learning science concept on light material considered from multiple intelligence of students, (4) the correlation between cognitive mastery the learning science concept with the students’ multiple intelligence in eighth grade at SMPN 8 Palangka Raya after follow cooperative learning model considered from students’ multiple intelligence on light material.

This quantitative research uses a pre-experimental research method, with the research design One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample used in this research was class VIII-9 at SMPN 8 Palangka Raya.

The result of this research shows that: (1) the activity of teachers and students in cooperative learning model toward mastery of the learning science concept on light material is very active, the in managing cooperative learning model toward mastery of the learning science concept on light material considered from multiple intelligence got good results, (2) there is an effect in cooperative learning model toward students’ mastery of the concept, (3) increasing student learning outcomes with cooperative learning models shows a fairly high Gain while the N-Gain obtained a medium average value, (4) there is a significant correlation (moderate) between Linguistic Intelligence toward students’ posttes score, the significant (strong) and positive correlation between Logical Mathematic Intelligence toward students’ posttest score and there is a significant (strong) and positive correlation between Visual-Spasial Intelligence toward students’ posttest score.
