Abstract

Berdasarkan observasi hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPA khususnya biologi belum sepenuhnya mencapai nilai KKM yang ditentukan terutama pada materi perkembangan manusia yang penyampaiannya memerlukan peran peserta didik secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Rendahnya nilai peserta didik disebabkan minat belajar mereka masih rendah, masih kurangnya minat baca serta motivasi belajar peserta didik, pembelajaran masih berpusat pada guru (teacher center), sehingga peserta didik kurang aktif dalam proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Selain itu, faktor lingkungan juga mempengaruhi hasil belajar mereka. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan upaya untuk melihat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournaments (TGT) dengan media teka-teki silang (TTS) terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi perkembangan manusia di MTs Darul Ulum Palangka Raya.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournaments (TGT) dengan media teka-teki silang (TTS) terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi perkembangan manusia di MTs Darul Ulum Palangka Raya.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experimental) dengan desain penelitian yaitu nonequivalent control group pretest dan posttest. Populasi penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas VIII MTs Darul Ulum Palangka Raya, sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII B yang berjumlah 47 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII C yang berjumlah 43 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode tes dan analisis data menggunakan program SPSS version 19.0 for windowas 7.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar peserta didik kelas eksperimen meningkat dari pretes ke postes dengan rata-rata 37,714 menjadi 72,305. Sedangkan rata-rata gain 34,590 dan N-gain memiliki rata-rata 0,555. Uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan rumus anova satu arah menunjukkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournaments (TGT) dengan media teka-teki silang (TTS) berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen pada perkembangan manusia di kelas VIII MTs Darul Ulum Palangka Raya. Hal tersebut berdasarkan tabel anova dengan α = 0.05 < Sig. atau 0,000 < 0,05. Artinya, Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima.

Based on the observation toward the learning outcomes of the students in Natural Science Subject, especially in Biology subject, the scores of KKM cannot be achieved maximally which are determined. This happens is the topic of human growth in which in its delivery needs active participation from students during learning process. The poor sores of the students are caused by lacking of reading interest, lacking of motivation, the teaching is teacher-learning process. Therefore, the effort has been done to see the influence of Cooperative Learning with Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) and Puzzle Toward the Learning Outcomes of the Students in the Topic Human Growth at MTs Darul Ulum Palangka Raya.
The study is intended to know the influence of Cooperative with Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) and Puzzle Toward the Learning Outcomes of the Students in the Topic Human Growth at MTs Darul Ulum Palangka Raya.
The study uses quantitative approach and the quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group pretest dan pretest. The populations of the study are the students of class VIII MTs Darul Ulum Palangka Raya. The samples of the study are 47 students of class VIII B which act as experimental class and 43 students of class VIII C which act as control class. The data are collected trough test data are analyzed through SPSS of 19.0 versions for windows 7.
The results of the study indicate that the average learning outcomes of the students in experimental class improves from pretest and posttest; 37.714 becomes 72.305. the N-gain has the average 0.555. The test of hypothesis using one way anova indicate that Cooperative Learning with Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) and Puzzle has a positive influence Outcomes of the Students in experimental class in the Topic Human Growth at MTs Darul Ulum Palangka Raya. This can be seen from anova table with α = 0.05 < Sig. or 0,000 < 0,05. This means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.
