Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa antara kelas yang menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dengan kelas yang menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional pada materi sistem pencernaan di kelas VIII MTsN 2 Palangka Raya. Pokok masalahnya adalah untuk melihat bagaimana perbedaan hasil belajar siswa antara kelas yang menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dengan kelas yang menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional pada materi sistem pencernaan di kelas VIII MTsN 2 Palangka Raya.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dalam mengumpulkan datanya, karena data yang dikumpulkan berupa data statistik. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian yang menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII D sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dan kelas VIII E sebagai kelas kontrol yang diberi perlakuan dengan model konvensional. Data diperoleh melalui pengamatan dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan hasil belajar antara kedua kelas setelah diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT (Teams Games Tournament) dengan rata-rata nilai postes 73.459 dan rata-rata nilai pretes 38.865 dengan selisih hasil pretes dan postes sebesar 34.595 (35%) dengan kriteria sedang dibandingkan kelas kontrol yang menerapkan model konvensional dengan rata-rata nilai postes 67.496 dan rata-rata nilai pretes 35.421 dengan selisih hasil pretes dan postesnya sebesar 30.373 (31%) dengan kriteria sedang.

The objectives of the study are to know the influence of the differences in student learning outcomes between classes that implement cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) with a class that implements the conventional learning model the digestive system material in class VIII MTsN 2 Palangkaraya. The main problem how is the the influence of the differences in student learning outcomes between classes that implement cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) with a class that implements the conventional learning model the digestive system material in class VIII MTsN 2 Palangkaraya.
The study uses quantitative method. The data which are collected are statistical data. The study is calssified as study which use quasi experimental. The subjects of the study are the students of class VIII D as experimental class given treatment using Cooperative Learning Model of Team Games Tournament (TGT) type and class VIII E as control class given treatment using conventional model. The data are obtained through observation and test of learning outcomes.
The results of the study indicate that there is a significant difference between two classes after being given different treatments, nemely, experimental class using cooperative learning of Team games Tournament (TGT) type. The average score of the students is higher with the average score in posttest is 38.865. the gap between pretest and posttest is 34.595 (35%) with criteria compared to control class applying conventional method with the average score of posttest is 67.496 and the average score of pretest 35.421 and the gap of pretest and posttest is 30.373 (31%) with the criterion of fair.
