Abstract

The leadership of principle has important role to education institution success in reaching the purpose of national education especially learning and teachers training. Effective leadership will be able to make strategy enhancing performance of counseling guidance teacher to perform duty and responsible as adviser. The performance of counseling guidance teacher comprises of: a) the teacher of counseling guidance can evaluate the processes and services the program of counseling guidance, b) the teacher of counseling guidance can make adjustment the students’ necessity in counseling guidance servicing, c) the teacher of counseling guidance can inform the results of evaluation in counseling guidance servicing, d) the teacher of counseling guidance can use the results of evaluation process to revise and develop programs servicing of counseling guidance based on necessity analysis. Therefore, the principle leadership has significant role to enhance the performance of counseling guidance teacher.

The descriptive is used to this research. Approaching which is used in this research namely qualitative approach by using descriptive method, data collecting technique by interview, observation, subject of this research is the principle, administration, and the teacher of counseling guidance.

This result shows 1). the leadership of principle MTsN 2 Palangka Raya in performing his duties has commitment to give attention in increasing the quality of education and also enhancing prosperity for officials and the teachers, and even holds the meeting to assess the performance of counseling guidance teacher and giving supervision to drawbacks as well every semester. The performance of counseling guidance teacher has been able to apply counseling guidance professionally which begun from annual program, semester program, and how to implement servicing counseling guidance planning. 2) Two are 2 strategies which is done by principle in enhancing the performance of counseling guidance teacher, firstly to create harmony relations among the teachers and with others official staff. Secondly, appreciation such a mental support and the last mental prosperity and kinship system.

ABSTRAK

Kepemimpinan Kepala Madrasah merupakan faktor penting bagi keberhasilan Lembaga Pendidikan dalam mencapai tujuan Pendidikan Nasional khususnya pembelajaran dan pembinaan guru-guru, Kepemimpinan efektif akan mampu membuat strategi bagi peningkatan kinerja guru bimbingan konseling dalam menjalankan tugasnya dan tanggung jawab sebagai pembimbing. Kinerja Guru BK meliputi; a). Guru BK dapat mengevaluasi proses dan hasil program pelayanan BK, b). Guru BK dapat melakukan penyesuaian kebutuhan peserta didik dalam pelayanan BK, c). Guru BK dapat menginformasikan hasil pelaksanaan evaluasi pelayanan BK kepada pihak terkait, d). Guru BK dapat menggunakan hasil pelaksanaan evaluasi untuk merevisi dan mengembangkan program pelayanan BK berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan. Disinilah peran penting kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru BK.

Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriftif, tekhnik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, subjek penelitian adalah Kepala Madrasah, TU dan Guru Bimbingan Konseling.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa; 1). Kepemimpinan Kepala MTs N2 Palangka Raya dalam melaksanakan tugasnya mempunyai komitmen untuk memberikan perhatian dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan, serta meningkatkan kesejahteraan bagi guru dan karyawan, setiap semester mengadakan rapat untuk mengevaluasi kinerja guru/ guru Bimbingan Konseling sekaligus memberikan pengamatan terhadap kekurangan-kekurangan. Kinerja guru Bimbingan Konseling sudah mampu mengaplikasikan program Bimbingan Konseling secara profesional mulai dari program tahunan, semester, dan rencana pelaksanaan pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling. 2). Ada 2 strategi yang dilaksanakan kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru BK, pertama menciptakan hubungan yang harmonis sesama guru dan personil lain, kedua penghargaan berupa dukungan mental, yang ketiga kesejahteraan mental dansistem kekeluargaan.
