Abstract

Pemberitaan isu penolakan film Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku merupakan topik yang sangat menarik bagi media massa dan perhatian publik. Isu ini merupakan isu yang ramai diperbincangkan publik, sebab dianggap menampilkan adegan penyimpangan seksual LGBT sehingga menimbulkan aksi penolakan. Isu film yang ditolak bahkan eksistensinya menjadi perdebatan publik ialah menjadi suatu polemik, yang mana fenomena tersebut tentu mendapatkan sorotan dari berbagai media berita. Salah satunya adalah Republika.co.id. Sebagai media berita yang ingin merepresentasikan Islam mengontruksikan isu penolakan film yang dianggap membawa pesan bertentangan dengan agama Islam sehingga pada konteks ini menarik untuk dikaji. Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah bagaimana framing pemberitaan isu penolakan film Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku pada media berita online Republika.co.id?. Adapun tujuannya yakni untuk menjelaskan framing pemberitaan isu penolakan film Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku pada media berita online Republika.co.id.

Jenis pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif, pendekatan deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode analisis framing. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni observasi dan dokumentasi. Adapun teknik analisis data adalah menggunakan model Zhongdang Pan dan Gerald M. Kosicki.

Hasil penelitian yang ditemukan bahwa Republika.co.id lebih cenderung menolak film Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku. Dari sembilan berita yang dianalisis, ditemukan tujuh berita dibingkai oleh Republika.co.id cenderung menolak film tersebut dan memberitakan dari sisi negatif. Pada sisi ini, Republika.co.id mengkontruksikan beritanya dengan menghadirkan penyebab film tersebut ditolak yakni karena dianggap memuat konten penyimpangan seksual LGBT. Meski secara kecenderungan Republika.co.id dalam membingkai beritanya nampak menolak film Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku, akan tetapi pada sisi lain Republik.co.id juga nampak menampilkan dari sisi positif film tersebut, seperti ditemukan dua berita menyorot pada respons produser dan sutradara atas film tersebut.

ABSTRACT

Reporting on the issue of the rejection of the Memory of My Body movie is a very interesting topic for the mass media and public attention. This issue is an issue that is widely discussed by the public, because it is considered to display scenes of LGBT sexual deviations, which lead to acts of refusal. The issue of the movie being rejected and even having its existence become a public debate is becoming a polemic, in which the phenomenon certainly gets the spotlight from various news media. One of them is Republika.co.id. As a news media that wants to represent Islam, it constructs the issue of rejecting movies which are considered to carry messages that are contrary to Islam, so in this context it is interesting to study. The formulation of the problem in this research is how is the framing of the issue rejection of the Memory of My Body movie on the online news media Republika.co.id? As for the purpose is to explain the framing of the issue rejection of the Memory of My Body movie on the online news media Republika.co.id.

The type of this research is qualitative research, descriptive approach using framing analysis method. Data collection techniques used are observation and documentation. As for data analysis technique is using the model of Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki.

The results of the study found that Republika.co.id was more likely to reject the Memory of My Body movie. Of the nine news analysed it was found that seven news stories framed by Republika.co.id tend to reject the film and report from the negative side. On this side Republika.co.id constructs the news by presenting the reason for the rejection of the film because it is considered to contain LGBT sexual deviation content. Altough Republika.co.id tends to frame the news it seems to reject the Memory of My Body movie but on other hand Republika.co.id also seems to show the positive side of the film as found in two news stories that highlight the response of the producers and directors to the film.
