Abstract

Penelitian ini bertolak dari minat dalam pembelajaran sangat penting adanya, terlebih dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Minat belajar dalam diri siswa akan mempermudahnya untuk menerima materi pembelajaran sehingga tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran. Pentingnya minat dalam pembelajaran PAI ini diperkuat oleh pendapat yang mengatakan bahwa minat merupakan salah satu faktor penyebab keberhasilan proses belajar mengajar. Di samping itu, guru PAI di SDN-4 Baamang Hilir memiliki latar belakang pendidikan bahasa arab sehingga hal ini menjadi sebab ketertarikan peneliti untuk mencari tahu lebih dalam terkait bagaimana minat belajar PAI di sekolah tersebut serta upaya guru PAI dengan latar belakang pendidikan bahasa arab itu menjadikan siswa kelas V berminat dalam pembelajaran PAI.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) Minat belajar PAI siswa kelas V di SDN-4 Baamang Hilir; 2) Faktor yang mempengaruhi minat belajar PAI siswa kelas V di SDN-4 Baamang Hilir; 3) Upaya dalam menumbuhkan dan mempertahankan minat belajar PAI siswa kelas V di SDN-4 Baamang Hilir.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas V di SDN-4 Baamang Hilir sebanyak 10 orang dengan informan berjumlah 2 orang, yaitu kepala SDN-4 Baamang Hilir dan satu orang guru PAI SDN-4 Baamang Hilir. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Adapun pengabsahan data dalam penelitian menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan triangulasi sumber. Sedangkan analisis data dalam penelitian berupa data collection, data reduction, data display, dan conclusion drawing/verification.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Siswa kelas V di SDN-4 Baamang Hilir yaitu 10 orang subjek penelitian secara garis besar berminat dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran PAI berdasarkan indikator minat belajar yaitu perasaan senang, ketertarikan, penerimaan, dan keterlibatan siswa; 2) Minat belajar PAI siswa kelas V di sekolah ini dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal yang dimaksud berupa psikis individu siswa seperti menyukai hal-hal agama dan penjelasan guru tanpa disertai tugas. Sedangkan faktor eksternal yang dimaksud berupa metode mengajar guru dan adanya perasaan terganggu dalam diri siswa yang disebabkan oleh keributan siswa lain; 3) Upaya guru PAI dalam menumbuhkan dan mempertahankan minat belajar PAI siswa kelas V ialah menerapkan metode pembelajaran PAI yang menyenangkan seperti metode permainan, dan memberikan nilai terhadap hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa. Adapun upaya sekolah dalam hal ini ialah mengakomodir siswa dalam perlombaan di bidang agama, memprioritaskan siswa pada membaca al-Qur’an dan memahami tajwid, serta mengadakan pelatihan-pelatihan dalam bidang agama.

Abstract

This research stems from a great interest in learning, especially in the field of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Students' passion in learning will make it easier for them to get learning materials in a timely basis, allowing them to meet their learning objectives. The belief that interest is one of the factors causing the success of the teaching and learning process stresses the importance of interest in PAI learning. Also, SDN-4 Baamang Hilir is one of the elementary schools (SD) in the Baamang Hilir sub-district that was accredited A, so researchers is interested in learning more about the interest in learning PAI at the school.

This study aims to describe: 1) PAI learning interest of fifth grade students at SDN-4 Baamang Hilir; 2) Factors influencing fifth grade students' interest in PAI learning at SDN-4 Baamang Hilir; and 3) Efforts to grow and maintain fifth grade students' interest in PAI learning at SDN-4 Baamang Hilir.

A qualitative approach is used in this study. Ten grade 5 students at SDN-4 Baamang Hilir participated in this research, along with two informants: the head of SDN-4 Baamang Hilir and one PAI teacher from SDN-4 Baamang Hilir. Interviews, observation, and documentation are some of the data collection techniques used in research. Technical triangulation and source triangulation were used to analyze the data in the study. Meanwhile, data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification are all part of this study's data analysis.

The findings of this study show that: 1) 5th grade students at SDN-4 Baamang Hilir, namely 10 research subjects, are interested in participating in the PAI learning process based on indicators of learning interest, such as feelings of pleasure, interest, acceptance, and student involvement; and 2) Internal factors, such as individual psychic students' religious interest, and external factors, such as the teacher's teaching method, influence the rise of interest in learning PAI for fifth grade kids at this school. Meanwhile, several internal and external aspects influence fifth graders' lack of interest in learning PAI. The elements in question are teacher explanations without accompanying assignments, while the external aspects in question are community/social factors such as students' feelings of disruption produced by other students' noise; 3) PAI teachers' efforts to build and maintain fifth-grade students' interest in PAI learning include the use of fun PAI learning methods that add value to students' learning outcomes. In this regard, the school makes efforts to accommodate students in religious competitions, prioritize students in reading the Qur'an and understanding tajwid, and perform religious trainings.
