Abstract

This research discusses the implementation of walīmatul 'urs during the Covid-19 period in Palangka Raya City. This research was conducted on the bride and groom with the subject matter: (1) implementation of walmatul 'urs during the Covid-19 period in Palangka Raya City, (2) ustad's response to the implementation of walmatul 'urs during the Covid-19 period in Palangka Raya City, and (3) legal arguments from the ustad's response. The purpose of this research is to find out, understand and explain how: (1) the form of implementation of walmatul 'urs during the Covid-19 period (2) ustad's response to the implementation of walmatul 'urs during the Covid-19 period in Palangka Raya City (3) ustad's legal arguments against the response he gave regarding the implementation of walmatul 'urs during the Covid period -19 in Palangka Raya City. This study uses a socio-legal qualitative approach. The method of data collection was done through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of walīmatul 'urs during the Covid-19 period made some brides disappointed with the rules that had been made in the health protocol. However, the bride and groom still follow and obey the rules that have been set. Religious leaders supported the rule, some of whom provided support through notes. These rules were made to minimize the spread of the Covid-19 virus which has increased in recent months. So from the results of the analysis, it is known that the ustad's response is to support the rules caused by an emergency factor.
