Indonesian society, especially on the island of Java, still has a lot of cultural diversity, some of which still adhere to ancestral cultural beliefs. One of them is the weton computing culture that determines marriage. From the past until now, there are still people whose marriages are hindered by the Javanese weton. This study explores
the traditional weton calculation, namely the weton calculation as a determinant of the wedding date, which is deeply rooted in Javanese culture in the Javanese culture of Lemah Jungkur Hamlet, Keniten Village, Mojo District, Kediri Regency. Research using qualitative research aims to explore or establish a proposition or explain the reasons behind reality. The data collection technique used the method of observation, interviews, and library research, while the data analysis used the deductive method. The results of the research are Weton is a set of seven days a week Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday with five market days, Jawa Legi, Pahing, Pon, Wage, Kliwon. The Javanese calculation method has an illustration that is very basic, namely matching which is an adjustment, as between the key and the lock, as well as the man to the prospective bride he will marry. In calculating weton calculations, Javanese people generally use three calendars that have existed for a long time, namely: the Saka calendar, the Sultan Agung calendar, and the Pranata prey farmer calendar. The purpose of this study is to convey an understanding to citizens about how to respond to the concept of weton as a marriage determination based on the perspective of Islamic law.
