Abstract

Penelitian ini bertolak dari keingintahuan untuk mengukur seberapa pengaruh minat belajar siswa terhadap kecerdasan emosional yang dimiliki oleh siswa. Minat belajar merupakan kegairahan siswa untuk mengikuti pembelajaran dengan baik termasuk pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak. Sedangkan, kecerdasan emosional dapat diartikan kecakapan atau kontrol diri siswa dalam bersikap dikehidupan sehari-hari. Sehingga diantara kedua variabel penelitian tersebut menjadi perhatian peneliti untuk melakukan penelitian.

Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu : (1) Bagaimana hasil rata-rata minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak di MTs Darul Ulum kota Palangka Raya? (2) Bagaimana hasil rata-rata kecerdasan emosional siswa di MTs Darul Ulum kota Palangka Raya? (3) Adakah hubungan minat belajar pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak terhadap kecerdasan emosional siswa di MTs Darul Ulum kota Palangka Raya? (4) Sejauh mana pengaruh minat belajar pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak terhadap kecerdasan emosional siswa di MTs Darul Ulum kota Palangka Raya?. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui : (1) Hasil rata-rata minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak di MTs Darul Ulum kota Palangka Raya. (2) Hasil rata-rata kecerdasan emosional siswa di MTs Darul Ulum kota Palangka Raya. (3) Hubungan minat belajar pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak terhadap kecerdasan emosional siswa di MTs Darul Ulum kota Palangka Raya. (4) Pengaruh minat belajar pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak terhadap kecerdasan emosional siswa di MTs Darul Ulum kota Palangka Raya.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, jenis penelitian korelasi (correlation research). Populasi yang digunakan adalah seluruh siswa MTs Darul Ulum kota Palangka Raya sebanyak 183 sampel. Cara penentuan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen angket dengan teknik analisis data menggunakan rumus mean, korelasi spearman, dan koefisien determinasi.

Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa : (1) Rata-rata minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak di MTs Darul Ulum Kota Palangka Raya sebesar 3,863 termasuk kategori tinggi. (2) Rata-rata kecerdasan emosional siswa di MTs Darul Ulum Kota Palangka Raya sebesar 3,925 termasuk kategori tinggi. (3) Terdapat hubungan positif antara minat belajar pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak terhadap kecerdasan emosional siswa di MTs Darul Ulum Kota Palangka Raya. (4) Pengaruh minat belajar pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak terhadap kecerdasan emosional siswa sebesar 18,7%, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.

ABSTRACT

This study departs from curiosity to measure how the influence of student learning interest on emotional intelligence possessed by students. Interest in learning is the enthusiasm of students to follow learning well, including in religious subjects, one of which is the subject of morality. Meanwhile, emotional intelligence can be interpreted as students' skills or self-control in their daily lives. So that between the two research variables are the attention of researchers to conduct research.

The formulation of the problem in this study are: (1) What is the average result of students' learning interest in moral subjects in MTs Darul Ulum in Palangkaraya city? (2) What is the average yield of students' emotional intelligence at MTs Darul Ulum in Palangkaraya city? (3) Is there a relationship of interest in learning in the subjects of morality and emotional intelligence of students in MTs Darul Ulum Palangka Raya city? (4) To what extent is the influence of interest in learning on moral subjects on the emotional intelligence of students at MTs Darul Ulum in Palangka Raya city? The purpose of this study is to find out: (1) The average results of students' interest in learning the moral subjects in MTs Darul Ulum Palangka Raya city. (2) The average results of students' emotional intelligence in MTs Darul Ulum in Palangka Raya city. (3) Relationship between learning interest in moral subjects and emotional intelligence of students in Darul Ulum MTs in Palangka Raya city. (4) The effect of interest in learning on the subject of morality on students' emotional intelligence in MTs Darul Ulum Palangka Raya city.

This study uses a quantitative approach, the type of correlation research (correlation research). The population used was all students of MTs Darul Ulum in Palangka Raya city with 183 samples. How to determine the research sample using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire instrument with data analysis techniques using the mean formula, Spearman correlation, and the coefficient of determination.

Research results show that: (1)Average student interest in studying the subjects of moral creed in MTs Darul Ulum, Palangka Raya City, 3,863 including the high category. (2) Average emotional intelligence of studentsin MTs Darul Ulum, Palangka Raya City, amounting to3,925 included in the high category. (3)There is a positive relationship between learning interest in moral subjects and emotional intelligence of students in MTs Darul Ulum, Palangkaraya City. (4)The influence of interest in learning on the subjects of moral creed on emotional intelligence of students amounted to 18.7%, while the rest is influenced by other factors.
