Abstract

ABSTRAK

Air merupakan kebutuhan dasar seluruh mahluk hidup dimuka bumi ini, dan merupakan habitat yang secara alaminya sangat mudah tercemar oleh faktor biotik dan abiotik. Kehadiran bakteri Coliform merupakan indikator biologi adanya kontaminasi sampah atau feses terhadap sumber air.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kualitas Fisik, Kimia dan Mikrobiologi air, dari sumber air tanah, PDAM dan air perbukitan berdasarkan indikator (warna, rasa dan aroma) kimia dengan indikator keasaman (pH) dan mikrobiologi ( nilai MPN Coliform, Coliform fecal dan jumlah bakteri Escherichia coli) dengan tiga tahap pengujian yakni 1). Uji pendugaan, untuk mengetahui nilai MPN Coliform, 2). Uji penegasan untuk menentukan nilai MPN Coliform fecal. 3).Uji kepastian, untuk menentukan jumlah koloni bakteri Escherichia coli. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif komparatif eksploratif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perbandingan kualitas fisik, kimia dan mikrobiologi air minum isi ulang berbahan baku air Tanah, PDAM dan air Perbukitan, tehnik pengambilan data dengan cara porposive random sampling.

Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) kualitas fisik sumber air pra dan pasca purifikasi tidak berbeda signifikan dan kualitas AMIU berdasarkan warna air perbukitan sebesar 80,88% dinyatakan panelis paling jernih dibandingkan air tanah dan PDAM. Sedangkan kualitas rasa air PDAM sebesar 54,42% dinyatakan agak berasa di bandingkan air tanah dan perbukitan. Sedangkan kualitas aroma/bau air air PDAM dinyatakan panelis sebesar 69,11% paling beraroma/berbau. Kendati demikian kualitas fisik air minum isi ulang berbahan air tanah, PDAM dan perbukitan dinyatakan layak konsumsi berdasarkan indiator warna, rasa dan aroma. (2) kualitas kimia AMIU berbahan baku air tanah, PDAM, dan perbukitan dinyatakan tidak berbeda signifikan berdasarkan indikator nilai pH. AMIU berbahan baku air tanah (5,80) dinyatakan panelis lebih asam dibandingkan dengan perbukitan (6,18) dan air PDAM (6,26), sehingga dapat dinyatakan air PDAM memiliki kualitas lebih baik berdasarkan indikator pH dibandingkan air tanah dan perbukitan. (3) Kualitas mikrobiologi AMIU berbahan baku air tanah, PDAM, dan perbukitan dinyatakan tidak berbeda signifikan berdasarkan nilai MPN Coliform, Coliform fecal, maupun jumlah total koloni Escherichia coli. AMIU berbahan baku air perbukitan (rerata 2075 sel/100ml sampel) lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan PDAM dan air tanah (2400 sel/100ml sampel) berdasarkan nilai MPN Coliform. Berdasarkan nilai MPN Coliform fecal bahwa AMIU berbahan baku air PDAM (rerata 2,75 sel/100ml sampel) lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan air tanah (7,75 sel/100ml sampel), sedangkan AMIU berbahan baku air perbukitan (rerata 0,25sel/100ml sampel) lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan air tanah (2,25 sel/100ml sampel) dan air PDAM (2,75 25 sel/100ml sampel) berdasarkan jumlah total koloni Escherichia coli, sehingga dapat dinyatakan air perbukitan memiliki kualitas lebih baik akan tetapi tidak layak konsumsi berdasarkan indikator kualitas mikrobiologi apabila merujuk pada standarisasi kualitas air minum KepMenKes NO: 492/SK/VII/2002 yakni 0/100 ml sampel.

ABSTRACT

Water is basic requirement all of need life in this earth and water which can be impure easy by biotic and abiotic factor naturally. The present bacterium coli form represent the biology indicator by garbage or fesses contamination to water resources.

This research aim to know the physical, chemical and microbiological quality of water, from ground water, PDAM and a hill water. Based on chemical indicator (color, taste, and aroma) with the acidity indicator pH and microbiological ( MPN Coliform value, Coliform fecal, and amount of Escherichia Coli bacterium) with three phase test, that are:1) Anticipation test, to know the MPN Coliform value. 2) Coherent test, to determine the MPN Coliform Fecal value. 3). Certainty test, to determine amount of Escherichia Coli bacterium colony, and also to know the ability of ultraviolet light to reduce the bacterium or organism in drinking water refill. This research type is descriptive comparability explorative with the aim is to explain the comparison quality of physical, chemical and microbiological of drinking water refill produce by ground water, PDAM, and a hill water. Technique of data intake by purposive random sampling.

The result of research indicate that:1. Physical quality of ground water pre and pasca purification not significant different and AMIU quality based on color of a hill water equal to 80,88% more clear than ground water and PDAM. While of feel/taste quality PDAM water equal to 54,42% rather taste than ground water and a hill water. While for aroma quality, PDAM water equal to 69,11% most smelling. Event that way the physical quality of drinking water refill produce by ground water, PDAM and a hill water is competent for consume based on color, feel/taste and aroma indicator. 2. Chemical quality of AMIU ground water, PDAM, and a hill water is not significant different based on pH indicator.
Panelist express AMIU of ground water more sour than a hill water and PDAM, so can be expressed PDAM water have better quality based on pH indicator. 3. Microbiological quality of ground water, PDAM, and a hill water is not significant different based on MPN Coliform value, Coliform Fecal, and also full scale of Escherichia Coli colony. AMIU of ground water ( mean 2075 cell / 100ml sample ) smaller than PDAM and ground water ( 2400 cell / 100ml sample ) based on MPN Coli form value. Based on MPN Coli form Fecal value, AMIU of PDAM ( mean 2, 75 cell / 100ml sample ) smaller thant ground water ( 7,75 cell / 100ml sample), while AMIU of a hill water ( mean 0,25 cell / 100 ml )smaller than ground water 9 2,25 cell / 100ml sample. And PDAMwater ( 2,75 25 cell / 100ml sample ) based on amoun total of Escherichia Coli colony, so a hill water have better quality, but not competent for consume based on microbiological quality indicator, if referring on standardization of drinking water quality by KepMenKes No: 49/SK/VII/2002 that is 0/ 100 ml sample.
