Abstract

Karet merupakan getah pohon karet dan getah ini diperoleh setelah dilakukan pengerjaan yang telah cukup umur di deres batangnya. Salah satu penghasil karet alam yang ada di Kalimantan Tengah adalah Kabupaten Barito Utara. Penduduk terbesar yang berprofesi sebagai petani karet yaitu di Kelurahan Jambu Kecamatan Teweh Baru. Pekerjaan sebagai petani karet merupakan mata pencaharian masyarakat setempat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari. Fokus penelitian adalah (1) Faktor penyebab fluktuasi harga karet alam di Kelurahan Jambu Kecamatan Teweh Baru. (2) Bagaimana dampak fluktuasi harga karet bagi ekonomi masyarakat Kelurahan Jambu Kecamatan Teweh Baru.
Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian lapangan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Objek dari penelitian yaitu Fluktuasi harga karet alam bagi ekonomi masyarakat Kelurahan Jambu Kecamatan Teweh Baru. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 4 orang pengepul/pembeli karet alam dan penguat informant adalah 4 orang pedagang sembako, 2 orang pedagang sayuran, 2 orang penjual kendaraan bermotor roda 2 dan 12 orang petani karet.
Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa (1) Faktor penyebab fluktuasi harga karet alam di Kelurahan Jambu Kecamatan Teweh Baru. Jika barang digudang banyak maka harga menjadi turun dan sebaliknya tidak ada standar harga yang pasti dari pemerintah dan juga kualitas karet. (2) Dampak fluktuasi harga karet bagi ekonomi masyarakat Kelurahan Jambu Kecamatan Teweh Baru. Yaitu daya beli masyarakat berkurang terhadap sembako, sayur dan kendaraan bermotor roda 2, pengangguran bertambah, tingkat pendidikan rendah dan pengangguran bertambah.

ABSTRACT

Rubber is the gum of the rubber and gum trees obtained after the work is done which is quite old in the stem deres. One of the natural rubber producers in Central Kalimantan is North Barito Regency. The largest population who work as rubber farmers is in Jambu Sub-District of Teweh Baru Sub-District. Work as a rubber farmer is the livelihood of the local community to fulfill their daily needs. The focuses of the research are: (1) Factors causing on the price fluctuation natural rubber at Jambu District Baru Teweh Sub-District. (2) What is the impact of price fluctuation natural rubber for community economy at Jambu District Baru Teweh Sub-District.

This research is field research using a descriptive qualitative approach. The object of the research is the price fluctuation natural rubber for community economy at Jambu District Baru Teweh Sub-District. The subjects in this study were 4 collectors / buyers of natural rubber and informant boosters were 4 basic food traders, 2 vegetable traders, 2 people selling 2-wheeled motorized vehicles and 12 rubber farmers.

The results of this study indicate that (1) Factors causing fluctuations in the price fluctuation natural rubber for community economy at Jambu District Baru Teweh Sub-District. If the goods in the warehouse are large then the price will go down and vice versa there is no definite price standard from the government and also the quality of rubber. the impact of price fluctuation natural rubber for community economy at Jambu District Baru Teweh Sub-District, that is the people's purchasing power is reduced to basic food, vegetables and 2-wheeled motorized vehicles, unemployment increases, education levels are low and unemployment increases.
