Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian air kelapa terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman tomat dan konsentrasi air kelapa yang optimum bagi pertumbuhan tanaman tomat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober sampai dengan bulan November 2017 di Laboratorium Biologi Institut Agama Islam Negeri Palangka Raya.
Rancangan percobaan penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan yaitu K.o (kontrol), K.1 (25%), K.2 (50%), K.3 (75%) dan K.4 (100%) serta 5 kali ulangan.
Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa pemberian air kelapa berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman tomat. Dari analisis menggunakan rumus didapatkan nilai rata-rata tinggi tanaman tomat pada K.o (Kontrol) = 44,74, K.1 (25%) = 58,76, K.2 (50%) = 64,6, K.3 (75%) = 55,52, K.4 = (100%) = 52,32. Nilai rata-rata jumlah cabang daun tanaman tomat K.o dengan nilai 11,8 lebih rendah dari nilai perlakuan yang lainnya yait K.1 = 13,5, K.2 = 14, K.3 = 12,8 dan K.4 = 12,1. Hasil rata-rata umur (hari) berbunga pada tanaman tomat perlakuan Ko (Kontrol) dengan nilai 43,3 lebih lambat dari nilai pada perlakuan yang lainnya yaitu K1 =37,6, K2=35,8, K 3=39, K 4 = 40. Konsentrasi air kelapa yang paling berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman tomat yaitu pada K.2 (50%) dengan nilai rata-rata 64,40, jumlah cabang daun 14 dan umur berbunga 35,8 yang paling optimum dalam pertumbuhan tanaman tomat.

ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine the effect of coconut water on the growth of tomato plants and the optimum concentration of coconut water for the growth of tomato plants. This research was conducted from October to November 2017 at the Biology Laboratory of Palangka Raya State Islamic Institute.
The experimental design of the study was Randomized Complete Design (RAL) with 5 treatments: Ko (control), K.1 (25%), K.2 (50%), K.3 (75%) and K.4 (100%) and 5 repetitions.
The results showed that coconut water administration had an effect on tomato plant growth. From the analysis using the formula, the average value of tomato plant height on Ko (Control) = 44,74, K.1 (25%) = 58,76, K.2 (50%) = 64,6, K.3 ( 75%) = 55.52, K.4 = (100%) = 52.32. The average value of the number of branches of tomato plant leaves of Ko with a value of 11.8 is lower than the other treatment value of K1 = 13.5, K.2 = 14, K.3 = 12.8 and K.4 = 12,1. Average yield of age (days) flowering on tomato plants treatment of Ko (Control) with value 43,3 slower than value at other treatment that is K1 = 37,6, K2 = 35,8, K3 = 39, K 4 = 40. The most influential coconut water concentration on tomato plant growth is on K.2 (50%) with average value 64,40, leaf number 14 and flowering 35,8 most optimum in tomato plant growth.
