Abstract
Penelitian ini bertolak dari yayasan Panti Asuhan Budi Mulya Kota Palangka Raya yang merupakan Panti Asuhan tertua berdiri sejak tahun 1971 dan telah memiliki lembaga pendidikan yang lengkap sesuai dengan tujuan pendidikan nasional yaitu pendidikan 12 tahun seperti Sekolah Dasar (SD), Madrasah Tsnawiyah (MTs) dan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK).
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Bagaimana pelaksanaan penanaman nilai karakter di Panti Asuhan Budi Mulya Kota Palangka Raya, 2) Penanaman nilai karakter apa saja yang dikembangkan di Panti Asuhan Budi Mulya Kota Palangka Raya, 3) Apa kendala yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaan penanaman nilai karakter di Panti Asuhan Budi Mulya Kota Palangka Raya
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yaitu penelitian lapangan deskriptif bukan angket atau hipotesis. Tempat penelitian ini dilakukan di Yayasan Panti Asuhan Budi Mulya Kota Palangka Raya dengan subjek penelitian adalah 5 orang yang terdiri dari 4 orang dewan pengurus inti dan 1 orang tenaga pendidik, penelitian ini diolah berdasarkan penggunaan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Pelaksanaan penanaman nilai karakter di Panti Asuhan Budi Mulya Kota Palangka Raya sudah di laksanakan dengan baik hanya saja belum terencana atau terprogram secara tertulis, tetapi dalam aplikasinya penanaman nilai karakter tetap dikembangkan yaitu a) nilai religius, b. nilai kemandirian dan c. nilai sosial. 2) Nilai-nilai karakter yang dikembangkan di Panti Asuhan Budi Mulya Kota Palangka Raya, a) Nilai religius ditanamkan melalui kegiatan shalat wajib dan sunah berjama’ah, kegiatan pengajian rutin, kegiatan tadarus Al-Qur’an, kegiatan Maulid Habsyi dan kegiatan Muhadarah, b) Nilai Kemandirian ditanamkan melalui kegiatan usaha meubel dan pertanian dan, c) Nilai sosial ditanamkan melalui kegiatan kerja bakti. 3) Kendala-kendala yang dihadapi Panti Asuhan Budi Mulya dalam penanaman nilai karakter yaitu kondisi karakter anak yang berbeda-beda karena faktor bawaan dari keluarga yaitu cara orang tua mendidik, suasana rumah, keadaan ekonomi keluarga, dan pengertian orang tua sebelum mereka tinggal di Panti Asuhan. Kemudian ada juga kendala yang lain yang di hadapi Panti Asuhan yaitu: kekurangan tenaga pendidik dan sumber daya manusia (SDM), Sumber dana/keuangan, dan Sarana prasarana yang dibutuhkan dalam penanaman nilai karakter.
ABSTRACT
This study departs from the foundation of the Budi Mulya Orphanage Palngka Raya town which is the oldest orphanage established since 1971 and has a complete educational institution in accordance with the objectives of national education namely 12 years of education such as Elementary School, Madrasah Tsnawiyah (MTs) and Vocational High School (SMK).
This study aims to find out: 1) How to implement character values in the Budi Mulya orphanage in Palangka Raya city, 2) Planting values of any character developed in the Budi Mulya orphanage in Palangka Raya city, 3) What are the obstacles faced in implementing the planting of character values in the Budi Mulya orphanage in Palangka Raya city.
This study uses qualitative methods, namelydescriptive field research rather than questionnaire or hypothesisi. The place of this research was conducted in the Budi Mulya orphanage in Palangka Raya city with the subject of the research were 5 people consisiting of 4 board members of the orphanage and 1 teaching staff, this research was processed based on the use of observation, interview, end documentation data collection techniques.
The results of the study indicate that: 1) The implementation of the planting of character values in the Budi Mulya orphanage in the city of Palangka Raya has been carried out well but has not been planned or programmed in writing, but the application of character values is still being developed in the application: a) Religious value, b) Independence value end, c) Social value. 2) character values developed in the Budi Mulya orphanage, Palangka Raya city, a) religious values are instilled through compulsoryprayer and sunnah in congregation, routine recitation activities, tadarus al-qur’an activities, habsyi mauled activities, and muhadaroh activities, b) The value of independence is istilled through furniture and agricultural business activities, c) Social values are intelled through community revice. 3) The obstacles faced the Budi Mulya orphanage in planting character values are the different conditions of the inherent factors of the family, namely the way parents educate, the ixistence of the house, the family’s economic situation, end the understanding of parents before they live in orphanage. Then there are also other abstacles faced by orphanages, namely: lack of education and human resources (SDM), funding/financial resources, and ingrastructure in planting character values
