Abstract

Penelitian ini bertolak dari kesulitan peserta didik dalam memahami materi pembelajaran seperti pada materi Interaksi Makhluk Hidup dengan Lingkungan. Banyak nilai peserta didik yang tidak mencapai nilai KKM, sehingga beberapa nilai peserta didik pada materi Interaksi Makhluk Hidup dengan Lingkungan tidak tuntas.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik menggunakan Pendekatan JAS pada Materi Interaksi Makhluk Hidup dengan Lingkungan Kelas VII MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya. 2) Mendeskripsikan keterampilan proses sains materi Interaksi Makhluk Hidup dengan Lingkungan Kelas VII MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya. 3) Mendeskripsikan keterlaksanan pendekatan JAS pada materi interaksi makhluk hidup dengan lingkungan kelas VII MTs muslimat NU Palangka Raya. 4) Mendeskripsikan respon peserta didik kelas VII MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualititatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu teknik random sampling. Kelas yang diteliti yaitu VII C dengan jumlah keseluruhan 40 peserta didik. Rumus yang digunakan untuk uji N-Gain.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Hasil belajar peserta didik yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan JAS mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil perhitungan N-gain yaitu sebesar 0,43 2) Keterampilan Proses Sains peserta didik menunjukkan 49,2% dengan kategori sangat terampil, 44,0% terampil dan 6,8% kurang terampil. Kategori sangat terampil menunjukan persentase paling banyak sedangkan kategori tidak terampil tidak ditemukan. Hal ini menunjukan pendekatan JAS memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap KPS peserta didik. 3) Keterlaksanan Pendekatan Jelajah Alam Sekitar pada setiap pertemuan mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini terlihat dari rata-rata yaitu sebesar 99% dan termasuk sangat baik. 4) Respon peserta didik terhadap pendekatan JAS sebagian besar peserta didik memberikan tanggapan baik dan memberikan tanggapan cukup rata-rata 61.04% dengan kategori baik. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan JAS terhadap KPS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi interaksi makhluk hidup dengan lingkungan kelas VII MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya.

ABSTRACT

This research is based on students' difficulties in understanding the learning materials as in the material of interactions between organisms and their environment. Many learners score did not reach the Minimum Criteria of Mastery Learning (KKM), so the some values of leraners on the materials of interaction between organisms and their environment were not learning mastery.
The aims of this research were: 1) describe the improvement of student’s learning results on materials of interaction between organism and their environment using Natural Exploration Approach at the eleventh grade of MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya. 2) describe the science process skill on the materials of interaction between organisms and their environtment at the eleventh grade of MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya. 3) describe the implementation of Nature Exploration (JAS) approach on the materials of interaction between organisms and their environment at the eleventh grade of MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya. 4) descibe the respons of students at the eleventh grade of MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya.
This research was designed by describtive qualitative approach. The sample technique used was random sampling. Class analyzed was VII C which has 40 learners. The formula used was N-Gain test.
The results showed that: 1) the learning result of students who were tought by using the JAS approach had increased. It was seen from the results of N-gain value 0.43. 2) Science Process skill of leraners show 49.2% with highly skilled categories, 44.0% skilled and 6.8% less skilled. Highly skilled categories showed the most percentages whereas unskilled categories are not found. This research showed that the JAS aproach gave a positive influence on the Leraner’s Science Process skill. 3) The implementation of Nature Exploration (JAS) at each meeting had increased. It could be seen from the average value 99% and it was included into very good category. 4) The respons of learners to the JAS approach, they gave good responses and 61.04% learners gave an avarage with good category. So it could be concluded that the learning by using JAS approach to Science Process Skill could improve the learner’s results on the materials of interaction between organisms and their environment at the eleventh grade of MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya.
