Abstract
Penelitian ini bertolakdari kegiatan pembelajaran masih berpusat pada guru yaitu menggunakanmetode ceramah dan tanya jawab serta tidak melatih keterampilan peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga membuat peserta didik sulit dalam memahami suatu konsep materi dan hal ini dapat berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar khususnya hasil belajar kognitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Pengaruh pendekatan keterampilan proses sains berbasis praktikum investigasi terhadap penguasaan konsep peserta didik pada materi pencemaran lingkungan kelas VII MTs Miftahul Jannah Palangka Raya, (2) Keterampilan proses sains peserta didik, (3) Sikap (Afektif) peserta didik, (4) Keterampilan (Psikomotorik) peserta didik.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian meliputi kelas eksperimen berjumlah 23 peserta didik dengan menggunakan pendekatan keterampilan proses sains (KPS). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa lembar observasi keterampilan proses sains, sikap (Afektif), keterampilan (Psikomotorik) dan tes objektif tipe pilihan ganda yang digunakan untuk mengukur pengaruh penguasaan konsep peserta didik pada materi pencemaran lingkungan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) analisis Uji-t data postest di peroleh hasil thitung sebesar 1,93 dan ttabel pada taraf signifikasi α = 0,05 yaitu sebesar 1,72. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dalam penerapan pendekatan keterampilan proses sains berbasis praktikum investigasi terhadap penguasaan konsep peserta didik materi pencemaran lingkungan,(2) Keterampilan proses sainspeserta didik dengan menggunakan pendekatan keterampilan proses sains (KPS) berbasis praktikum investigasi memperoleh presentase dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 79,15% dengan kategori baik, (3)Sikap (Afektif) peserta didik dengan menggunakan pendekatan keterampilan proses sains (KPS) berbasis praktikum investigasi memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 83 dengan kategori sangat baik, (4) Keterampilan (Psikomotorik) peserta didik dengan menggunakan pendekatan keterampilan proses sains (KPS) berbasis praktikum investigasi memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 73 dengan kategori baik.
ABSTRACT
This research is based on the learning process which uses teacher center by using lecturing method or questioning and answering. Based on the researcher’s point of view, it does not help the student’ to increase their skill meanwhile the learning process. As an impact, it makes the students find difficulties in understanding a material concept and it affects their study result, especially in cognitive result. So that this research aims at knowing: (1) The effect of science process ability approach activity based investigation toward students’ concept mastery of environmental pollution in the seventh grade of MTs MiftahulJannahPalangka Raya, (2) The students’ science process ability, (3) Students’ attitude (affective), (4) The ability (psychomotor).
This research used quasi experimental method with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample in experiment class consisted of 23 students by using science process ability approach. The instruments were sheets of observation science process ability, attitude (affective), ability (psychomotor) andobjective test such as multiple choices which was used to measure the effect of the effect of science process ability approach toward students’ concept mastery of environmental pollution.
The result revealed that: (1) t-test analysis of postest datafound tvaluewas 1,93and ttablefrom the significance level α = 0,05 was 1,72. It shows that there is significance effectin applying science process ability approach activity based investigation toward students’ concept mastery of environmental pollution.(2) science process ability approach activity based investigation toward students’ concept mastery shows presentage with the average score was 79,15% in good category, (3)the average score of students’attitude (affective) in science process ability approach activity based investigation was 83 in very good category, (4) The average score of students’ skill (psychomotor) in science process ability approach activity based investigation toward students’ concept was 73 in good category.
