Abstract
ABSTRACT
This research is designed to know (1) is there any significant difference of students’ results by using cooperative learning model STAD type and cooperative learning model ST type, (2) is there any significant difference of students’ social interaction by using cooperative learning model STAD type and cooperative learning model ST type, (3) is there any significant difference of students’ results who have high social interaction and low social interaction, (4) is there significant connection between the usage of cooperative learning model STAD type and cooperative learning model ST type with social interaction and students’ study result.
This research used experiment method with plan design by using factorial design and taking sample by using purposive sampling technique, the chosen samples are grade VIII E and grade VIII F. This research conducted in MTs Negeri 2 Palangka Raya on March until May 2015. The instruments used for this research are study result test and social interaction questionnaire.
The research showed that: (1) the difference of the result of the students’ study by using cooperative learning model STAD type and ST type with difference test analysis obtained 0,965 > 0,05 which showed increasing result in students’ study, (2) the difference of students’ social interaction by using cooperative learning model STAD type and ST type with difference test analysis obtained 0,151 > 0,05 which showed increasing result in students’ social interaction, (3) the difference between high and low students’ social interaction by using difference test analysis obtained 0,001 for the pretest STAD of high social interaction and low social interaction, 0,239>0,05 for the posttest STAD of high social interaction and low social interaction, 0,007 for the pretest ST of high social interaction and low social interaction, 0,209>0,05 for the posttest ST of high social interaction and low social interaction, (4) the connection between the usage of cooperative learning STAD type and ST type with social interaction and study result by using correlation test obtained correlation coefficient in experiment class I with strong criteria of correlation for the pretest and correlation coefficient of posttest score with moderate criteria of correlation. While I experiment class II correlation coefficient of the pretest score with moderate criteria of correlation and correlation coefficient of the posttest score with strong criteria of correlation.
