Abstract

Studying literary studies requires the opinion of several experts related to literature this theory is called the theory of literature. First, explanation of the meaning of literature from the book by (Bowo, 2016) he said, When it comes to this question, a common response is that a work counts as "literature" if it is fiction. According to this perspective, "literature" is defined by a collection of conventions that readers embrace.

The aims of research are: (1) how is the plot explained based on the events that occur in the Freedom Writers movie, and (2) what are the Education and Cultural racism values on the Freedom Writers movie can be implemented for students.

This study used Narrative Structure approach is use in this study as a tool to the researcher uses to classical Narrative Structure theory based on Tasrif along with additional theory of the Abrams as supporting research to describe the plot based on a review of time criteria in the movie sub-script. In the study, researcher will focuses on the subject matter that best shows the characteristics of the plot based on the review of the time criteria contain the Freedom Diary: Freedom Writers movie.

Based on the results of analytical research, it was concluded that the plot was based on a review of the time criteria contained in the Freedom Writers; Freedom Writers, which showed a Plot Progressive. 1) In the first analysis, the storyline is found. The result of plot analysis is an Exposition Plot is Explains about the early part of the story, in this section we begin to be known by the main character and later in this story itself. Rising Action is a new character appear and new setting come. Climax is reached when the complication attains its highest point of intensity, from which point the outcome of the story is inevitable. Resolution is the major actions are completed and the final action. 2) In the second analysis, Educational and Cultural Values on the Freedom Writers movie can be implemented for students. The result educational analysis Are Personal Values, Social Values, Moral Values, And Also Cultural Type are Individual Racism, Institutional Racism they have two effect of the racism that found Prejudice, Discrimination and Physical Attack. Therefore, the Educational and Cultural Values found which is also reinforced by the plot. So, the process of the plot can be find values in the Freedom Writers movie can be make students implemented in the daily life.

ABSTRAK

Mempelajari kajian sastra memerlukan pendapat beberapa ahli yang berkaitan dengan sastra teori ini disebut teori sastra. Pertama, penjelasan tentang makna sastra dari buku karya (Bowo, 2016) ini, beliau mengatakan, Ketika sampai pada pertanyaan ini, tanggapan yang umum adalah bahwa sebuah karya dianggap sebagai "sastra" jika itu fiksi. Menurut perspektif ini, "sastra" didefinisikan sebagai kumpulan konvensi yang dianut pembaca.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) bagaimana alur dijelaskan berdasarkan peristiwa yang terjadi dalam film Freedom Writers, dan (2) apa saja nilai-nilai Pendidikan dan Budaya rasisme pada film Freedom Writers yang dapat diimplementasikan pada siswa.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Struktur Narasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebagai alat bantu peneliti menggunakan teori Struktur Narasi klasik berbasis Tasrif beserta teori tambahan dari Abrams sebagai pendukung penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan plot berdasarkan tinjauan kriteria waktu dalam film sub-skrip. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti akan memfokuskan pada pokok bahasan yang paling menunjukkan ciri-ciri plot berdasarkan tinjauan kriteria waktu memuat film Freedom Diary: Freedom Writers.

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian analitik, disimpulkan bahwa plot didasarkan pada tinjauan kriteria waktu yang terdapat dalam Freedom Writers; Freedom Writers, yang menampilkan Plot Progressive. 1) Dalam analisis pertama, jalan cerita ditemukan. Hasil dari analisis plot adalah Exposition Plot yang menjelaskan tentang bagian awal cerita, pada bagian ini kita mulai dikenal oleh tokoh utama dan kemudian dalam cerita ini sendiri. Rising Action adalah kemunculan karakter baru dan setting baru. Klimaks tercapai ketika komplikasi mencapai titik intensitas tertinggi, dari titik mana hasil cerita tidak bisa dihindari. Resolusi adalah tindakan utama yang diselesaikan dan tindakan terakhir. 2) Pada analisis kedua, Pendidikan dan Nilai Budaya dalam Freedom Writers dapat diimplementasikan pada siswa. Hasil analisis pendidikan yaitu Personal Values, Social Values, Moral Values, Serta Cultural Type adalah Individual Rasism, Institutional Racism mereka memiliki dua pengaruh rasisme yang ditemukan Prasangka, Diskriminasi dan Serangan Fisik. Oleh karena itu, ditemukan nilai-nilai Pendidikan dan Budaya yang juga diperkuat olehadanya alur. Sehingga proses plot dapat ditemukannya nilai-nilai dalam film Freedom Writers yang dapat diimplementasikan siswa dalam kehidupan.
