Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan hasil wawancara pada guru fisika dan observasi siswa kelas XI MIPA di SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya. Berdasarkan wawancara tersebut diperoleh informasi bahwa Lembar Kerja Siswa berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) belum pernah diterapkan pada materi Elastisitas dan hukum Hooke pada siswa. Selain itu, peneliti juga melakukan tes awal untuk mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan sikap percaya diri siswa melalui google form yang diperoleh hasil tes awal kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan nilai rata-rata yaitu 57,75 yang termasuk dalam kategori kurang dan angket awal sikap percaya diri dengan nilai rata-rata yaitu 57,12 yang termasuk dalam kategori kurang percaya diri.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini : 1) mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) kelas XI pada materi elastisitas dan hukum Hooke terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya, 2) mengetahui peningkatan (N-Gain) setelah penggunaan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) kelas XI pada materi elastisitas dan hukum Hooke terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya, 3) mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) kelas XI pada materi elastisitas dan hukum Hooke terhadap sikap percaya diri siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya, dan 4) mengetahui peningkatan (N-Gain) setelah penggunaan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) kelas XI pada materi elastisitas dan hukum Hooke terhadap sikap percaya diri siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya.

Adapun jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kombinasi (mixed methods) model concurrent embedded yang merupakan gabungan dari penelitian kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian kualitatif dilaksanakan dengan wawancara dan penelitian kuantitatif dilaksanakan dengan metode eksperimen jenis One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Adapun analisis menggunakan uji effect size dan N-Gain. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Oktober sampai Desember 2021 dengan jumlah sampel 30 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah, lembar observasi hasil pekerjaan siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah, angket sikap percaya diri, dan pedoman wawancara sikap percaya diri siswa.

Hasil Penelitian ini adalah: 1) penggunaan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi elastisitas dan hukum Hooke terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa efektif digunakan pada siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya dengan ukuran efek yaitu 1,44 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, 2) peningkatan (N-Gain) setelah penggunaan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi elastisitas dan hukum Hooke terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya dengan N-gain yaitu 0,40 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang, 3) penggunaan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi elastisitas dan hukum Hooke terhadap sikap percaya diri siswa efektif digunakan pada siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya dengan ukuran efek yaitu sebesar 1,62 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, dan 4) peningkatan (N-Gain) setelah penggunaan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi elastisitas dan hukum Hooke terhadap sikap percaya diri siswa pada siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya dengan N-gain yaitu 0,30 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang.

ABSTRATC

This research was conducted based on the results of interviews with physics teachers and observations of class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya. Based on the interview, information was obtained that the Student Worksheet based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) had never been applied to the material of Elasticity and Hooke's law on students. In addition, the researchers also conducted a preliminary test to measure the problem-solving ability and self-confidence of students through the google form. The results of the initial test of problem-solving abilities were obtained with an average value of 57.75 which was included in the less category and the initial questionnaire of self-confidence was obtained. with an average value of 57.12 which is included in the category of lack of confidence.

The objectives of this study: 1) knowing the effectiveness of using Student Worksheets (LKS) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) class XI elasticity and Hooke's law on students' problem solving abilities at SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya, 2) find out the increase (N-Gain) after the use of Student Worksheets (LKS) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) class XI on elasticity and Hooke's law on students' problem solving abilities at SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya, 3) knowing the effectiveness of using Problem Based Student Worksheets (Learning LKS (PBL) class XI elasticity and Hooke's law on student self-confidence at SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya, and 4) find out the increase (N-Gain) after using the Student Worksheet (LKS) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) class XI on elasticity and Hooke's law on students' self-confidence in SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya.
