Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan di SDN 4 Menteng Palangka Raya menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran yang dilakukan tidak bervariasi dan model yang digunakan hanya ceramah sehingga masih ada siswa yang bermain sendiri dengan teman sebangkunya, Ribut dan mengobrol.

Penelitian ini betujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pengelolaan pembelajaran, mengetahui aktivitas siswa selama penerapan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share, mengetahui hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran tipe Think Pair Share, mengetahui respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran Think Pair Share. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Kuantitatif dengan menggunakan Pendekatan eksperimen. Penelitian ini melibatkan guru Kelas siswa kelas V SDN 4 Menteng Palangka Raya. Untuk penelitian diambil dua kelas, Yaitu kelas eksperimen yang bejumlah 36 orang dan kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 35 Orang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan September sampai bulan Desember 2019. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah angket penerapan model think pair share, respon siswa yang dinilai menggunakan angket respon siswa, dan hasil belajar yang dinilai dengan menggunakan pre test dan post tes dari buku mata pelajaran tematik materi sistem pernapasan pada hewan, dan lembar pengamatan respon siswa.

Bedasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh 1) Penerapan model pembelajaran tipe Think Pair Share materi Organ Pernapasan Pada Hewan menunjukkan kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata 3,33. 2) Peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik sesudah pembelajaran menggunakan pembelajaran Think Pair Share memperoleh nilai N-Gain 0,7 yang menunjukkan bahwa kenaikan hasil belajar peserta didik memiliki ketegori tinggi. 3) Respon siswa setelah penerapan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share menunjukkan kategori sangat baik dengan persentase skor rata-rata 77,3 .

Abstract

Based on an observation which was done in SDN 4 Menteng Palangka Raya, it showed that the learning model was not varied and the method that was used was only discourse method so that there was still some students who played alone with their classmates, made a noise and chatted.

This research was conducted to find out and describe the application of learning management, to find out students’ activity during the implementation of think pair share model, to find out the students’ learning result using think pair share learning model, and to find out students’ response towards think pair share learning model. The type of this research was Quantitative research by using experiment approach. This research involved homeroom teacher as object of observation or as the teacher who taught, and the Fifth Grade students of SDN 4 MentengPalangka Raya with the number of 36 people. For the research, it took two classes which were experiment class and control class. This research was conducted from September until December 2019. The instrument that was used in this research was learning management observation sheet, students’ activity sheet, 20 sheets of test instrument for learning which was taken from TEMATIK textbook in the matter of animal respiratory system, and students response observation sheet.

Based on the research, it obtained 1) The implementation of Think Pair Share towards the matter of animal respiratory system can be done and got average score around 3,33 which was included into good category, 2) The results of students learning in the cognitive aspect was improved with n gain average results around 0,85 and it was included into high category, 3) Whereas the response of the students in learning by using Think Pair Share model obtained score result around 82,25 which was included into excellent category.
