Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi kesulitan peserta didik dalam memahami materi pecahan dilihat dari hasil belajar mata pelajaran matematika pada aspek kognitif masih rendah ketika mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran dan pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru masih terpaku pada buku.

Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk 1) untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe example non example dalam pembelajaran matematika siswa kelas IV. 2) untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe example non example. 3) untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe example non example dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Quasi Eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV yang terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu 18 siswa kelas IVA sebagai kelas kontrol dan 18 siswa kelas IVB sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui
observasi dan tes yang dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah berupa soal pilihan ganda 20 soal pretest dan postest dengan indikator yang sama untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Example Non Example dalam meningkakan hasil belajar siswa.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Penerapan model
pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Example Non Example materi Pecahanmenunjukkan hasil yang baik dengan skor rata-rata 3,44 kategori Baik. 2) Peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik sesudah pembelajaran menggunakan pembelajaran Example Non Example memperoleh nilai N-Gain 0,71 yang menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kenaikan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas
eksperimen memiliki ketegori yang tinggi. 3) Ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe example non example dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV di MIN 4 Palangka Raya dengan thitung 7,27 lebih besar dari ttabel 2,03.

ABSTRACT

This research is based on by the difficulty of students in
understanding fraction material seen from the learning out comes of mathematics in cognitive aspects is still low when participating in learning and learning activities carried out by teachers still fixated on books.

This research aims 1) to determine the application of the type non examaple cooperative learning model in mathematics learning in class IV.2) to find out the increase in mathematics learning outcomes of grade IV students through the application of the non example type cooperative learning
model.3) to determine the effect of applying type non example cooperative learning models in improving mathematics learning outcomes of class IV students.

This study used a quantitative method with the type of research Quasi Experiment. The study population is all students in class IV consisting of two classes, namely 18 students in class IVA as a control class and 18 students in
class IVB as an experimental class. Data collection techniques through observation and tests were conducted before and after treatment. The instruments used in this study were in the form of multiple choice questions 20 pretest and posttest questions with the same indicators to determine the effect of the Example Non Example learning model in raising studentlearning outcomes.

The results showed that: 1) The application of cooperative learning model Example Non Example Fractional material showed good results with an average score of 3.44 Good categories.2) Improvement of student learning outcomes after learning using Example Non Example learning obtained N values -Gain 0.71 which shows that the average increase in learning outcomes of experimental class students has a high category. 3) There is a positive and significant effect of the application of the non-example type example cooperative learning model in improving mathematics learning outcomes of
Grade IV students in MIN 4 Palangka Raya with thitung 7.27 is more than tabel 2.03 table.
