Abstract

Penelitian ini berlatar belakang diketahui bahwa aktivitas peserta didik selama kegiatan pembelajaran masih pasif sehingga berdampak terhadap hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik rendah karena model yang diterapkan masih bersifat konvensional. Kondisi seperti itu dialami oleh peserta didik MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya pada materi sistem ekskresi. Nilai KKM pada materi tersebut yaitu 73, sedangkan rata-rata nilai npeserta didik dibawah nilai KKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1). Mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berbantu video animasi pada sistem ekskresi terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik kelas VIII MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya. 2).Mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VIII MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya selama pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dan desain penelitiannya menggunakan Nonrandomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu sebanyak 80 peserta didik untuk 2 kelas. Instrument yang digunakan yaitu berupa soal objektif untuk mengukur kemampuan kognitif dan lembar observasi peserta didik untuk mengukur aktivitas peserta didik. Analisis data menggunakan Uji “t”.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) Penerapan pembelajaran STAD pelaksanaan pembentukan kelompok, melakukan eksplorasi, melakukan diskusi, mempresentasikan berlangsung dengan baik dan sesuai berkriteria sangat baik. 2) aktivitas dinyatakan baik pada model pembelajaran STAD peserta didik lebih aktif . 3) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara hasil belajar peserta didik menggunakan STAD berbantu video animasi pada materi sistem ekskresi. 4) peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik pada proses pembelajaran STAD berbantu video animasi memiliki peningkatan hasil belajar dan berkriteria tinggi. Sehingga dapat ditegaskan bahwa pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berbantu video animasi pada materi sistem ekskresi terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VIII MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya dinyatakan Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima dengan taraf signifikasi 5% dimana thitung>ttabel yaitu 8.869 >2,000. Hal ini berarti bahwa aktivitas peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran diperoleh rata-rata 3,51 sehingga berkriteria sangat baik.

ABSTRACT

The background of the research was the passive student activity in the learning process, so that it affected the poor cognitive learning result because the implemented learning model was still conventional. It happened to the students of MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya on the excretory system. The minimum mastery criteria score on the material was 73, while the average score of the students was below it. The purposes of the research are 1) to know the influence of the cooperative learning model STAD type video animation-aided on the excretory system upon the activity and the students’ cognitive learning result for class VIII MTs MUSLIMAT NU Palangka Raya, and 2) to know the improvement in the students’ learning result class VIII MTs MUSLIMAT NU Palangka Raya during learning using cooperative learning model STAD type.
The research used quasi experiment method and the design of the research used Non-Randomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 80 students for 2 classes. The instrument was the objective questions to measure the cognitive ability and the student observation sheet to measure the student activity. The data analysis used t-test.
The result of the research showed that: 1) the implementation of STAD learning which consisted in forming groups, exploring, discussing, and presenting ran well and compatibly, which the criteria are very good, 2) the activity was good which the students were more active in STAD learning model, 3) there was significant influence upon the learning result using STAD video animation-aided on the excretory system, 4) the learning process STAD type video animation-aided improved the students’ learning result to high criteria. Thus, it was confirmed that the influence of the cooperative learning model STAD type video animation-aided on the excretory system upon the activity and the students’ cognitive learning result for class VIII MTs Muslimat NU Palangka Raya declined Ho and accepted Ha with significance level 5% which tcount>ttable; 8,869 >2,000. This meant the average score for students’ activity during learning process was 3,51, so the criteria was very good.
