Abstract

Penelitian ini berlatar belakang dari adanya siswa yang memiliki kemampuan kognitif tinggi akan tetapi perilaku keagamaannya kurang. Seyogiyanya, siswa yang memiliki kemampuan kognitif tinggi maka keyakinan dan penghayatan siswa menjadi kuat, hal tersebut juga harus dilandasi dengan pengetahuan dan pemahaman terhadap ajaran dan nilai agama Islam sehingga siswa dapat merealisasikan dalam bentuk perilaku keagamaan yang baik pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui lebih dalam korelasi kemampuan kognitif pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dan perilaku keagamaan siswa. Adapun permasalahan yang diangkat adalah: (1) Bagaimana Kemampuan Kognitif siswa kelas X di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palangkaraya?; (2) Bagaimana Perilaku keagamaan siswa kelas X di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palangkaraya?; (3) Apakah ada korelasi kemampuan kognitif pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dan perilaku keagamaan siswa kelas X di SMA Muhamadiyah 1 Palangkaraya?.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 79 orang yaitu siswa kelas X di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palangkaraya.. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu berupa soal uraian untuk mengukur kemampuan kognitif dan angket untuk mengukur perilaku keagamaan serta ditambah dengan observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengolahan data melalui: editing, tabulating, coding, dan analizing. Analisis data menggunakan rumus statistik korelasi product moment.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Kemampuan kognitif pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam siswa kelas X di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palangkaraya yaitu 72,91 sehingga berkategori baik. 2) Perilaku Keagamaan siswa kelas X di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 palangkaraya yaitu 3,04 sehingga berkategori baik; 3) Berdasarkan analisis uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara keampuan kognitif dan perilaku keagamaan siswa kelas X di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palangkaraya dengan taraf signifikasi 5% ataupun 1% dimana rxy>rtabel yaitu 0,2213<0,328>0,2882 sehingga Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak.

ABSTRACT

This study was based on the existence of students who have high cognitive ability but less religious behavior. Seyogiyanya, students who have high cognitive abilities then the belief and appreciation of students to be strong, it must also be based on knowledge and understanding of the teachings and values of Islam so that students can realize in the form of good religious behavior in everyday life. This study aimed to found out more in the correlation of cognitive ability in the subjects of Islamic Religious Education and students' religious behavior. The problem raised were : (1) How is the Cognitive Ability of the X grade students in SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palangkaraya ?; (2) How is the religious behavior of class X students in SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palangkaraya ?; (3) Is there a correlation of cognitive ability in the subjects of Islamic Religious Education and the religious behavior of grade X students in SMA Muhamadiyah 1 Palangkaraya?.

This research used correlational quantitative method. The population of this study were 79 people, namely the X grade students in SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palangkaraya. The instrument used was a description to measure cognitive ability and questionnaire distribution to measure religious behavior and added with observation and documentation. Data processing techniques through editing, tabulating, coding, and analyzing. Data analysis using rumus corelation product moment.

The results showed that: 1) Cognitive ability in the subjects of Islamic Religious Education class X students in SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palangkaraya is 72,91 so categorized well; 2) Religious Behavior of class X students in SMA Muhammadiyah 1 palangkaraya is 3,04 so categorize well; 3) Based on the hypothesis test analysis shows that there is no significant correlation between students 'cognitive ability and students' religious behavior significant difference between the cognitive ability in the subjects of Islamic Religious Education and the behavior of class X student in high school Muhammadiyah 1 Palangkaraya with 5% significance level or 1% where rxy> rtabel is 0,2213< 0,328> 0,2882 so Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected.
