Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya nilai hasil belajar siswa pada pokok materi pencemaran lingkungan dan model pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru masih bersifat konvensional sehingga mengakibatkan kurangnya motivasi belajar siswa, dengan nilai Kriteria Ketuntasan Belajar (KKB) 65%. Sehingga peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing.

Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji masalah masalah sebagai berikut: (1) Bagaimana pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuri terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VII-C Mts Darul Amin pada materi pencemaran lingkungan? (2) Bagaimana respon siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi pencemaran lingkungan? Dengan demikian penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuri terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VII-C Mts Darul Amin dan mengetahui respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi pencemaran lingkungan.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dan jenis penelitiannya One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar dan angket respon siswa. Populasi penelitian adalah kelas VII semester 2 Mts Darul Amin Palangka Raya tahun ajaran 2016/2017, sampel penelitian kelas VII-C jumlah 28 orang siswa.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Terdapat pengaruh model Inkuiri Terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa dengan nilai gain 27,5 dan nilai Ngain sebesar 0,54 dalam kategori sedang. (2) Respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing siswa yang menjawab ya (positif) lebih tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 83,75, sedangkan sebagian siswa lainnya yang menjawab tidak (negatif) lebih rendah dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 16,25.

ABSTRACT

The background of this study was based on the low students learning achievement on the subject of environmental pollution and the conventional learning model that still used by the teachers. It caused the lack of student learning motivation with the score of the learning completeness criteria (LCC) 65%. It is makes the researcher interested to makes a research using inquiry guide learning model.

The aim of this study was to examine the problems as follows: (1) how is the The effect of Inquiry Guided Learning Model toward the Student Learning achievement on the Environmental Pollution learning Material In VII grades of C class on Mts Darul Amin? (2) what is the students’ response to the application of inquiry guided learning model on the Environmental Pollution learning Material? so this study aimed to determine the effect of inquiry guided learning model on the students learning achievement of VII grades of C class on Mts Darul Amin and to know the student's response to the inquiry guided learning model on environmental pollution learning material.

This research is a descriptive quantitative research. the research type is One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The instrument used is the students learning achievement test students and the student questionnaire response. The research population is the VII grades of 2nd semester on Mts Darul Amin Palangka Raya academic year 2016/2017. The research sample is VII grades of C class, the number of students is 28 students.
The result of the study shows that: (1) There is an effect of inquiry guided learning model to the students' cognitive learning achievement on the environmental pollution learning material in VII grades of C class with gain value 27.5 while N-gain value were 0.54 categorized by moderate. (2) The students’ response to the inquiry guided learning model which positive answer (yes) was higher with average score 83.75. Otherwise, the students who answered negative (no) got lower score with average score of 16.25.
