Abstract

Latar belakang penulisan ini didasarkan pada penelitian penulis pada Yayasan Bina Insan Nusantara Barito di Kabupaten Barito Selatan, Kalimantan Tengah, tentang implementasi pendidikan multikultural yang diterapkan dalam sistem pendidikan mereka. Hal ini tercermin dari model pembelajaran yang diterapkan di sekolah kepada para peserta didik yang berasal dari latar belakang yang berbeda beda, baik agama, budaya, status sosial, maupun ekonomi. Karena inilah, Yayasan Bina Insan Nusantara Barito menerapkan manajemen pendidikan yang spesifik untuk mengakomodasi semua kebutuhan diatas, seperti kurikulum pembelajaran yang bersifat umum, penanaman karakter peserta didik, perlakuan terhadap anak berkebutuhan khusus, serta kebijakan sekolah lainnya, yang tentunya mempengaruhi output dari setiap peserta didik yang dihasilkan sekolah ini jika dibandingkan dengan sekolah sejenis. Pendidikan multikultural yang diterapkan di sekolah ini ternyata mampu mempengaruhi sikap para peserta didik dalam menghadapi pergaulan sosial diluar lingkungan sekolah mereka.

Dalam penelitian ini, penulis membuat Rumusan Masalah: 1) Bagaimana perencanaan pendidikan berbasis multikultural pada Yayasan Bina Insan Nusantara Barito di Kabupaten Barito Selatan? 2) Bagaimana pelaksanaan pendidikan berbasis multikultural pada Yayasan Bina Insan Nusantara Barito di Kabupaten Barito Selatan?

Adapun Tujuan Penelitian ini dapat dideskripsikan pada 1) Perencanaan pendidikan berbasis multikultural pada Yayasan Bina Insan Nusantara Barito di Kabupaten Barito Selatan, dan 2) Pelaksanaan pendidikan berbasis multikultural pada Yayasan Bina Insan Nusantara Barito di Kabupaten Barito Selatan.

Sementara metode pengumpulan datanya adalah melalui metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Dan metode penelitian yang diambil adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi data, dan validasi data yang dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber data.

Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: 1) Perencanaan pendidikan berbasis multikultural yang dilakukan pada Yayasan Bina Insan Nusantara Barito di Kabupaten Barito Selatan meliputi perencanaan pembelajaran yang tercantum dalam kalender pendidikan, metode pembelajaran dan kurikulum, perencanaan sosialisasi yang dilaksanakan setiap tahun, perencanaan kinerja yang tertuang dalam uraian tugas dan kewajiban personalia, perencanaan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) dalam proses pembelajaran kepada peserta didik, perencanaan tata tertib pada PAUD PG “BEK” dan TK Binus. 2) Pelaksanaan pendidikan multikultural pada Yayasan Bina Insan Nusantara Barito di Kabupaten Barito Selatan yang meliputi pendidikan agama sejak usia dini, persamaan hak bagi Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus, pelaksanaan sosialisasi yang berisi visi misi yayasan, kurikulum yang digunakan, metode, wacana parenting, jurnal dan sirkulasi buku tabungan serta pembayaran SPP, pelaksanaan kinerja sesuai dengan tugas pokok dan fungsinya, pelaksanaan SOP dan pelaksanaan tata tertib.

ABSTRACT

The background of this wrting is based on writer’s research at Bina Insan Nusantara Barito Foundation in South Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan about implementing multicultural education in their education system. It is reflected in their learning model implemented in the school which is delivered to their students coming from various kinds of background, such as religion, culture, social strata and economic as well. Because of this background, Bina Insan Nusantara Barito Foundation implements specific education management to accommodate all things above, such as national learning curricullum, students character building, specific children treatment in needs, and other school policy as well that can influence the students output when it is compared to other schools. The multicultural education implemented in this school is obviously able to influence students attitude in social interraction outside their school.

In this research, the writer makes the scope of problems into two cases : 1) What is it the plan of multicultural based education at Bina Insan Nusantara Barito in South Barito Regency?. 2) What is it the implementation of multicultural based education at Bina Insan Nusantara Barito in South Barito Regency?.

And the aim of this research is described in 1) The Plan of multicutural based education at Bina Insan Nusantara Barito, in South Barito Regency, and 2) The implemention of multicultural based education at Bina Insan Nusantara Barito in South Barito Regency.

Meanwhile, data collecting method done by the writer is observation, interview and documentation. And research method done in this research is reduced data, presented data, verified data and validated data as well which is using triangle data source.

Overall the result of this research indicates ; 1) The plan of multicultural based education done at Bina Insan Nusantara Barito Foundation consisting of learning plan noted in education calender, learning method and curricullum, annual socialized plan, work performance plan in personel duty and obligation details, Standard Operation Procedure of students learning progress, and early ages education of PG “BEK” and Binus garden school. 2) The implementation of multicultural education at Bina Insan Nusantara Barito in South Barito Regency consisting of early ages religion education, right equality of specific children in needs, socialized vision and mission of foundation, curricullum and method usage, parenting discourse, journal, saving books circulation and tuition payment system, personel work performance, and Standard Operation Procedure and code of conduct implementation as well.
