Abstract

Survei Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) ditahun 2020 sempat mencatat 82,85% perusahaan telah terdampak oleh pandemi virus corona. Berbeda dengan perusahaan lain yang laba perusahaannya langsung bergantung dari usaha penjualan maupun jasa yang dijalani oleh perusahaan perusahaan investasi bergantung atau dipengaruhi dari perusahaan-perusahaan yang diinvestasikannya. Profitabilitas yang baik membuat investor percaya pada kinerja perusahaan serta prospeknya di masa yang akan datang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan profitabilitas antara sebelum dan saat pandemi Covid-19.

Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dan objek penelitian ini adalah perusahaan sektor investasi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2019-2020 sebanyak 9 perusahaan. Sumber yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah data sekunder dengan metode pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui website resmi Bursa Efek Indonesia (www.idx.co.id) dan masing-masing perusahaan yang laporan keuangannya dipublikasikan. Analisis data menggunakan uji beda yaitu Wilcoxon signed-rank test dengan menggunakan program SPSS for windows versi 24.0.

Berdasarkan hasil pengujian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan profitabilitas antara sebelum dan saat pandemi Covid-19 dilihat dari Gross Profit Margin, Net Profit Margin, Return On Asset, dan Return On Equity. Saran untuk peneliti selanjutnya sebaiknya menambah objek penelitian sehingga dapat dilihat dari berbagai sektor industri lainnya tidak hanya terfokus pada sektor perusahaan investasi dan menambah variabel-variabel penelitian lain dari penelitian ini.

ABSTRACT

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) survey in 2020 recorded 82.85% of companies affected by the corona virus pandemic. In contrast to other companies, the company's profits directly depend on the sales and service efforts undertaken by investment companies, depending on or influenced by the companies they invest in.Good profitability makes investors believe in the company's performance and prospects in the future. This study aims to determine the difference in profitability between before and during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The type of research used in this study is quantitative research and the object of this research is the investment sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2020 period as many as 9 companies. The source used in this study is secondary data with data collection methods were obtained through the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (www.idx.co.id) and each company whose financial statements were published. Data analysis used a different test, namely the Wilcoxon signed-rank test using SPSS for windows version 24.0 program.

Based on the test results, it can be concluded that there is no significant difference in profitability between before and during the Covid-19 pandemic seen from Gross Profit Margin, Net Profit Margin, Return On Assets, and Return On Equity. Suggestions for further researchers should add research objects so that they can be seen from various other industry sectors that are not only focused on the investment company sectors and add other research variables from this study.
