Abstract

This study examines the implementation of agricultural land lease contracts from the perspective of muamalah fiqh. The problem is the controversy regarding the exact rental price and the length of the rental period is also not set. From these problems, questions arise: 1) What is the form of the lease agreement for rice fields in Jorong Bawah Duku Nagari Koto Baru, Kubung District, Solok Regency?. 2) What is the view of muamalah fiqh on the rental of rice fields in Jorong Bawah Duku Nagari Koto Baru, Kubung District, Solok Regency?. This research is a field research. Data obtained through the community. After the data is collected, it is processed by narrating and analyzing it by equating the data with other data. This study found that the results of the lease agreement for agricultural land in Islam are allowed but the practice that occurs in the field is not in accordance with the stipulated provisions because there are no definite provisions regarding the rental price that was set at the time of the contract and the time of the rental and it was also not specified.
