Abstract

Hajj is a form of worship that influences the personality of a Muslim. Therefore, the hajj was not just an ordinary trip, or just a sightseeing trip. The hajj became a very special "journey". Muslims will not be able to perform the hajj every year, so Allah wills that this obligation be carried out only once in a lifetime. Therefore, Allah SWT does not oblige hajj except those who are able to do it. The meaning of the ability to perform hajj, namely being in good health, being able to go there and having a safe journey. In various types of mahdhah worship in Islam, Hajj is ranked first in terms of its appeal to the interest of the Muslim community to do it. A good Muslim must aspire to the hajj. In some communities, there are those who prioritize the implementation of the hajj before they organize their economic and family life. But most people first arrange their economic and family life, then they prepare themselves to perform the hajj. Because of this second reason, many pilgrims are old. But what is clear, there is a kind of pride for those who have returned from the holy land to fulfill the fifth pillar of Islam.
