Abstract

Democracy can be seen from two issues, namely the problem of the state and the people or the government and the people. Which is actually democracy made and formulated as a people's government. Democracy in terms of good or bad is a matter of power, but what is desired by a good democracy is being able to behave honestly and fairly in government. Islamic boarding school is a non-formal institution that contributes to peace, but to achieve this peace requires a process starting from planning, implementation to a long evaluation. In pesantren, leadership is also taught bycreating a management structure to train students in leadership and organization. In this study, researchers took an object at the NU Muslimat Islamic Boarding School in Central Java with the title Islamic Boarding School Democracy: In Peace Building Leadership at the NU Muslimat Islamic Boarding School in Central Java. With qualitative research methods with observation research methods, interviews, and direct participation in the field. The results of this study found that peaceful leadership in the management structure at the NU Muslimat Islamic boarding school in Central Java has so far been well realized. Not only in the management system, but among the students, they also firmly adhere to the democratic system in their social life.
