Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the value content of Nagari Koto Lamo's Marriage To Los Market regulation as a penalty for being unmarried. Ethical values are concerned with the method and substance of creating people's character, morals, or personalities in order to make them better and more positive. The violators must respect to the discipline and elements of the punishments given. The regulatory process itself necessitates the development of good ethical qualities such as honesty and responsibility. Interviews, questionnaires, and documentation were used to collect data. The data was gathered throughout the process of implementing marriage regulations to Los Pasar as a pregnancy sanction outside of marriage, as well as the community's and traditional authorities' opinions on the process.
