Abstract

This study aims to examine the theory and discourse analysis of justice and gender equality in women. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study indicate that etymologically gender means sex, namely sex, while according to terminology gender and sex have different meanings, although there are still inseparable links. Specifically, there is no single theory that examines gender issues. The theories developed are adopting theories developed by experts in their respective fields, especially in the fields of sociology and psychology, the theory in question is Structural-functional Theory, Theory of social conflict. The theory of liberal feminism, the theory of socialist-Marxist feminism, the theory of radical feminism, the theory of ecofeminism and the theory of psychoanalysis.
