Abstract

Seiring dengan meningkatnya kebutuhan pendidikan, maka pengembangan kurikulum perlu dilakukan dalam kerangka menjawab dan menyelesaikan berbagai persoalan yang dihadapi dalam dunia pendidikan dewasa ini. Hal ini juga dilakukan di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Model Palangka Raya. Dengan demikian, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk; (1) mengetahui latar belakang perencanaan pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan Islam berbasis multikultural di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Model Palangka Raya, (2) mengetahui materi-materi dalam pelaksanaannya, dan (3) mengetahui proses pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan Islam berbasis multikultural di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Model Palangka Raya.
Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Objek penelitian adalah pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan Islam berbasis multikultural di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Model Palangka Raya. Subjek penelitian adalah pendidik mata pelajaran PAI (Akidah Akhlak, Qur’an Hadis, Fikih, dan SKI) di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Model Palangka Raya. Adapun informan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari kepala madrasah dan Kepala/Staf Tata Usaha di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Model Palangka Raya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Sementara itu dalam penarikan kesimpulan menggunakan metode induktif.
Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut; (1) Latar belakang pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan Islam berbasis multikultural di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Model Palangka Raya berdasarkan pada; (a) pemenuhan standar kelulusan madrasah, (b) Keadaan peserta didik di madrasah yang beragam dalam hal suku bangsa dan budaya, dan (c) Memperhatikan minat dan kebutuhan peserta didik untuk menghadapi tantangan di masa yang akan datang. (2) Materi-materi dalam pengembangan kurikulum tersebut meliputi beberapa materi dalam mata pelajaran; (a) Akidah Akhlak adalah pentingnya menjaga akidah keislaman dengan tetap toleransi terhadap perbedaan yang ada di masyarakat, (b) Qur’an Hadis yaitu ajaran agar orang muslim memiliki budi pekerti yang baik serta etika kehidupan sesuai ajaran al-Quran, (c) Fikih adalah materi pentingnya menjaga perdamaian dalam segala hal kehidupan, dan (d) SKI adalah materi Dakwah Nabi Muhammad saw periode Madinah. Materi-materi yang dikembangkan tentu saja dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan multikultural yang terkandung di dalamnya, sesuai dengan minat peserta didik dan tuntutan perkembangan masyarakat. (3) Proses Pengembangan kurikulum tersebut dilakukan dengan dua strategi yaitu sebagai berikut; (a) Secara konseptual tertuang dalam visi dan misi madrasah, tujuan madrasah, dan kurikulum madrasah itu sendiri, (b) Melalui operasional yang terwujud dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas dan budaya sekolah/madrasah melalui program pengembangan diri tidak terprogram, baik dalam materi muatan lokal dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler.

Together with increasing of education necessities, so the curriculum deveelopment had to do in framework to answer and solve the problems in educatioan world righ now. Its also had done in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Model Palangka Raya. So, the principle purpose of this study; (1) were to describe the background curriculum development of Islamic education based on multicultural in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Model Palangka Raya, (2) to know what the materials its development, and (3) to know how the curriculum development of Islamic education based on multicultural in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Model Palangka Raya.
The method of this study was descriptive qualitative. The object of the study was the curriculum development of Islamic education based on multicultural in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Model Palangka Raya. The subject of the study was the teacher who taught PAI’s lessons (Akidah Akhlak, Qur’an Hadits, Fiqh, and SKI) in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Model Palangka Raya. While, the informen in this study was included the headmaster and the head of officer in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Model Palangka Raya. In collecting the data, the writer used; observation, deep interview, and documentation. While in making the conclussion, the writer used inductive method.
Based on the data of this study, the writer conclude that:1) the background curriculum development of Islamic education based on multicultural in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Model Palangka Raya based on; (a) completing school passing standard, (b) the condition of the students in the school that had various ethnic group, and (c) culture and gave attention to students’ interests and necessities to againts the challenges in the future. 2) The materials into curriculum development had mentioned; (a) Akidah Akhlak was to kept Islamic belief with still gave tolerance to the differences in the society, (b) Qur’an Hadits was the lesson for muslim to had good moral and life ethic that appropriated with Al Qur’an’s lesson, (c) Fiqh was the important to keep peace in all section of life, and (d) SKI was the material oh religious proselytizing of prophet Muhammad saw in Medina period. The material had developed must be include the multicultural values. And the material had been taught must be include students interests and the demands of society development. 3) The process of curriculum development that mentioned had done with two strategies such as; (a) Conceptually, it can be seen in point of view madrasah, madrasah mission, and also in the curriculum of madrasah. (b) Operationally, it can be seen in learning realization in the class and the culture of school/madrasah passing the program self development unprogramming, well, in the muatan lokal material and extracullicular activity.
