Abstract

Islamic education is currently faced with various challenges in line with the demands of the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. Therefore, the portrait of Islamic education must be able to play its role dynamically and be proactive by bringing universal values as a shifting paradigm, so that Islamic education truly becomes rahmatan lil'alamin. Thus to develop Islamic education referred to, this study uses social construction of reality regarding the dialectic between objectalizing externalization, internalization, through externalities how the value system is built based on the Qur'an and al-Hadith, in accordance with social reality and becomes something that is objective , thus giving birth to a value system in the form of mahabbah, ijtima'iyyah, al-'is and ukhuwah, as the main pillars of Islamic education rahmatan lil'alamin. Internalization of the values of Islamic education rahmatan lil'alamin is expected to maintain harmony, peace, mutual respect and liberation, not vice versa as domestication and
social taming. Therefore, Islamic education rahmatan lil'alamin, is seen as social enlightment. Therefore, as an effort to develop Islamic education, it can be carried out through several stages, building inclusive awareness by transmitting the whole system of religious social values such as monotheism, tolerance and justice into the curriculum structure as culture domination and control, reconstructing the paradigm of Islamic education in the perspective of indoctrination into participatory; change the ideological paradigm to be scientific by providing flexibility for the human mind to study and develop knowledge through His guidance
