Abstract

Penelitian ini bertolak dari hasil wawancara dengan salah satu guru bidang studi mata pelajaran IPA Terpadu di SMP Muhammadiyah Palangka Raya, diperoleh informasi bahwa minat dan motivasi belajar serta hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPA masih tergolong rendah, dengan ketuntasan 30%. Nilai KKM (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal) yang ditetapkan di sekolah pada mata pelajaran IPA adalah 70. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: Pengaruh model Contextual Teaching and Learning terhadap minat belajar, motivasi belajar, hasil belajar kognitif.

Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan jenis kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu (quasi experiment). Populasi penelitian ini dua kelas penelitian yaitu kelas VII B (kontrol) 26 peserta didik dan kelas VII E (eksperimen) 28 peserta didik. Kelas pertama adalah kelompok kontrol, yaitu menggunakan metode ceramah atau konvensional dan tidak diberikan perlakuan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dan kelas kedua di berikan perlakuan model pembelajaran kontekstual Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbantu video. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen angket untuk mengukur minat dan motivasi belajar sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran, instrumen tes untuk mengukur hasil belajar kognitif sebelum dan seudah pembelajaran untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbantu video, dan penelitian dianalisis dengan uji parametrik Paired sample t-test.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa : (1) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pretest dan postest terhadap minat belajar, (2) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pretest dan postest terhadap motivasi belajar, (3) hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik dengan pembelajaran menggunakan model (Contextual Teaching and Learning) berbantu video mengalami peningkatan, hal ini terlihat antara pretest dan posttest kelas kontrol dan eksperimen, dimana nilai rata-rata posttest data N-gain data kognitif hasil belajar sebesar 73,78. Sedangkan peserta didik yang belajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional memiliki nilai rata-rata nilai posttest data N-gain angket motivasi belajar sebesar 61,38, hasil ini menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran model CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) berbantu video terdapat pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah Palangka Raya.

ABSTRACT

This research departs from the results of an interview with one of the teachers in the field of Integrated Science subjects at the Muhammadiyah Palangka Raya Middle School, information was obtained that interest and motivation to learn as well as cognitive learning outcomes of students in science subjects were still relatively low, with a completeness of 30%. The KKM score (Minimum Completeness Criteria) set in schools in science subjects is 70. This study aims to determine: The effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning model on interest in learning, learning motivation, cognitive learning outcomes.

The method in this study uses a quantitative type with a quasi-experimental method. The population of this study was two research classes, namely class VII B (control) 26 students and class VII E (experimental) 28 students. The first class is the control group, which uses the lecture or conventional method and is not given the treatment of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model and the second class is given the treatment of the video-assisted Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model. This study uses a questionnaire instrument to measure interest and learning motivation before and after learning, a test instrument to measure cognitive learning outcomes before and after learning to determine the effect of video-assisted Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning models

The results of this study indicate that: (1) there is a significant influence between pretest and posttest on learning interest, (2) there is a significant influence between pretest and posttest on learning motivation, (3) cognitive learning outcomes of students by learning using the model (Contextual Teaching and Learning) assisted by video has increased, this can be seen between the pretest and posttest of the control and experimental classes, where the posttest average value of the N-gain data on cognitive data on learning outcomes is 73.78. While students who study with conventional learning have an average posttest value of the N-gain data on learning motivation questionnaires of 61.38,
