Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using cartoon story makers in improving the listening ability of students in the tenth grade. The type of research used is quantitative-experimental. Participants in the study were 69 students in grade ten. Data collection techniques using tests, scores and documentation. The results showed that the normality test and homogeneity test of the pre test and post test in the experimental class and control class were normally distributed and homogeneous. So that the hypothesis testing in the pre test and post test leads to the independent test sample t test. The results obtained from the independent test sample t test, the significance value obtained is 0.000 <0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between student learning outcomes using the cartoon story maker and without using the cartoon story maker. So the use of cartoon story makers is more effective in improving the listening skills of tenth graders.
