Abstract

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melengkapi bahan ajar guru dan untuk membantu siswa dalam memahami materi fluida statis dan melatih siswa menggunakan model discovery learning. Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan bahan ajar siswa di SMA Negeri 10 Palangka Raya. Hasil analisis kebutuhan dengan cara penyebaran angket didapatkan hasil seluruh siswa menginginkan dan merasa perlu dikembangkan sebuah bahan ajar berupa lembar kerja siswa berbasis discovery learning.

Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana profil lembar kerja siswa berbasis discovery learning di kelas XI pada materi fluida statis. 2) Menguji kelayakan lembar kerja siswa berbasis discovery learning di kelas XI materi fluida statis. 3) Untuk mendeskripsikan respons guru dan siswa terhadap pengembangan lembar kerja siswa berbasis discovery learning untuk kelas XI materi fluida statis.

Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D). model yang digunakan dalam pengembangan ini adalah model PPE atau (Planning, Production and Evaluation) yang dikembangkan oleh Richey dan Klein. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara penyebaran angket validasi dan angket respons. Angket validasi digunakan untuk menguji kelayakan produk yang dikembangkan. Angket respons untuk mengetahui respons guru dan siswa terhadap produk yang dikembangkan.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: 1) Lembar kerja siswa berbasis discovery learning untuk kelas XI materi fluida statis disusun berdasarkan sintaks dalam discovery learning yang meliputi stimulus/rangsangan, identifikasi masalah, analisis data (pengumpulan dan pengolahan data), verifikasi dan generalisasi; 2) Kelayakan lembar kerja siswa berbasis discovery learning diuji olah ahli materi dan ahli media. Hasil uji kelayakan oleh ahli media mendapat persentase sebesar 84,37% dengan kategori sangat layak. Penilaian validasi yang dilakukan oleh dua orang ahli materi mendapatkan persentase sebesar 94,1% dengan kategori sangat layak. Sehingga dari hasil uji kelayakan tersebut, lembar kerja siswa berbasis discovery learning layak dan dapat digunakan untuk uji coba lapangan; 3) Respons guru mata pelajaran fisika terhadap lembar kerja siswa mendapatkan hasil dengan persentase 78,3% dengan kategori baik sedangkan respons siswa terhadap lembar kerja siswa mendapatkan persentase sebesar 88,41% dengan kategori sangat baik. Sehingga dari respons guru dan siswa dapat disimpulkan bahwa lembar kerja siswa berbasis discovery learning dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif bahan ajar disekolah.

ABSTRACT

This research was conducted to complement the teacher's teaching materials and to assist students in understanding static fluid material and to train students to use the discovery learning model. This research was conducted based on the analysis of the needs of students' teaching materials at SMA Negeri 10 Palangka Raya. The results of the needs analysis by distributing questionnaires showed that all students wanted and felt the need to develop a teaching material in the form of student worksheets based on discovery learning.

This study aims: 1) To find out how the profile of student worksheets based on discovery learning in class XI on static fluid material. 2) Testing the feasibility of student worksheets based on discovery learning in class XI on static fluid material. 3) To describe the response of teachers and students to the development of student worksheets based on discovery learning for class XI static fluid material.

This research is included in the type of research and development or Research and Development (R&D). The model used in this development is the PPE (Planning, Production and Evaluation) model developed by Richey and Klein. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by distributing validation questionnaires and response questionnaires. Validation questionnaire is used to test the feasibility of the developed product. Response questionnaire to find out the response of teachers and students to the product being developed.

The results of this study indicate: 1) Discovery learning-based student worksheets for class XI static fluid materials are arranged based on the syntax in discovery learning which includes stimulus/stimulus, problem identification, data analysis (data collection and processing), verification and generalization; 2) The feasibility of discovery learning-based student worksheets was tested by material experts and media experts. The results of the feasibility test by media experts got a percentage of 84.37% with a very decent category. The validation assessment carried out by two material experts got a percentage of 94.1% with a very decent category. So from the results of the feasibility test, student worksheets based on discovery learning are feasible and can be used for field trials; 3) The physics subject teacher's response to the student's worksheets got results with a percentage of 78.3% in the good category, while the students' responses to the student worksheets got a percentage of 88.41% in the very good category. So from the responses of teachers and students it can be concluded that discovery learning-based student worksheets can be used as an alternative to teaching materials in schools.
