Abstract

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh adanya pandemi Covid-19 yang menghambat sistem pembelajaran. Peran Orang tua selama pandemi Covid-19 sangatlah penting melihat sekaang banyaknya anak yang tidak mendapatkan pendampingan penuh oleh orang tua mereka dikarenakan orang tua yang sibuk bekerja sampai lupa membagi waktunya, dan orang tua yang kesulitan mendampingi dikarenakan tidak memiliki latar keahlian seperti seorang guru. peran Orang tua yang dimaksud yaitu sebagai guru dirumah, sebagai fasilitator, sebagai motivator dan sebagai director dalam mendampingi anak kelas IV di MIS Islamiyah Palangka Raya.

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan peran orang tua mendampingi anak dalam pembelejaran daring, kendala apa yang dihadapi orang tua mendampingi anak dalam pembelajaran daring, dan solusi apa yang dalam pembelajaran daring kelas IV di Mis Islamiyah Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu 4 orang tua siswa dan 1 wali kelas IV. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Penulis berperan sebagai pewawancara langsung untuk menggali data melalui orang tua dan guru kelas IV. Analisis data dengan 4 tahap yaitu, Data Collection, Data Reduction, Data Display, Conclusing Drawing. Teknik pengabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) peran orang tua dalam pembelajaran daring yaitu: (a) Sebagai pembimbing dan pendidik, yaitu orang tua sekaligus menjadi guru ketika anak menghadapi kesulitan materi. (b) Sebagai pendamping belajar: mendampingi saat anak melaksanakan pembelajaran daring. (c) Sebagai fasilitator: menyediakan media smartphone, menyediakan kuota jaringan internet, tempat belajar yang nyaman. (d) Sebagai motivator: memberikan semangat, dorongan, dan reward. (2) Kendala yang dihadapi orang tua yaitu: (a) Mengatur emosional anak, (b) Minimnya tingkat pemahaman orang tua, (c) faktor latar belakang orang tua, (c) jenis pekerjaan orang tua. (3) Solusi dalam mengatasi kendala pada pembelajaran daring yaitu: (a) Rajin memberikan motivasi belajar kepada anak. (b) Rajin memperhatikan waktu belajar anak. (c) Menjalin komunikasi yang baik dengan guru dan anak. (d) Berikan suasana belajar yang nyaman kepada anak.

ABSTRACT

This research was motivated by the Covid-19 pandemic which hampered the learning system. The role of parents during the Covid-19 pandemic is very important considering that there are now many children who do not get full assistance from their parents because parents who are busy at work forget to divide their time, and parents who have difficulty assisting because they do not have a background of expertise like a teacher. The role of parents in question is as a teacher at home, as a facilitator, as a motivator and as a director in assisting fourth graders at MIS Islamiyah Palangka Raya.

This study aims to identify and describe the role of parents accompanying children in online learning, what obstacles parents face in assisting children in online learning, and what solutions are involved in online learning for class IV at Mis Islamiyah Palangka Raya. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this study were 4 parents of students and 1 homeroom teacher for class IV. With data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation. The author acts as a direct interviewer to collect data through parents and guardians of class IV. Data analysis with 4 stages namely, Data Collection, Data Reduction, Data Display, Conclusing Drawing. The data validation technique uses source triangulation.

The results showed that (1) the roles of parents in online learning were: (a) As mentors and educators, namely parents as well as teachers when children faced material difficulties. (b) As a learning companion: assisting when children carry out online learning. (c) As a facilitator: providing smartphone media, providing internet network quotas, comfortable learning places. (d) As a motivator: giving encouragement, encouragement, and rewards. (2) Obstacles faced by parents are: (a) Regulating children's emotions, (b) Lack of understanding of parents, (c) parental background factors, (c) type of work of parents. (3) Solutions in overcoming obstacles in online learning are: (a) Diligent in providing learning motivation to children. (b) Diligently pay attention to children's learning time. (c) Establish good communication with teachers and children. (d) Provide a comfortable learning atmosphere for children.
